Watched the press conference on streaming video instead of working on my XM story. You know, when I was watching CNN on Tuesday, I was mildly offended that one of the analysts seemed to argue that the majority of men voting for Allen were doing so for football-based nostalgia. I think better of the electorate than that, though not much (see easy passage of the gay marriage amendment). Then Allen threw a football into the audience, and I realized if our own representation doesn't think any better of us, maybe I'm being a bit too generous.
Anyway, the conference was pretty amusing. Apparently any cliche can be dubiously sourced to the Bible. Mangled tree metaphors are fun. And also, remember when Wonkette used to be funny?. Mostly when my colleague Jason was filling in...
