I've been doing fairly well, although my eating has once again been out of control. At the moment, I'm blaming exercise, as I think my calorie intake is fine for a normal level of activity, but not for two tai chi classes plus two days with cross country skiing. Okay, support socks aren't (in theory) sexy. Generally, people wear them because of circulation problems. Lots of us for one reason or another have swelling in our legs. First off, they take next to no time, and then they are comfy and flattering with no changes to the pattern (except that I left out the waist elastic, as I've found that the stretch in most stretchy fabrics is enough and my stomach doesn't need to be squeezed - it just makes me sick). So, stuffed up has become sick, I think. This means, though, that the cold is progressing. If I can just be done with it in less than a week and not give it to Joel, that would be awesome. I am making a Chinese-style dress with a Mandarin collar and the opening across the shoulder. Now, most of these dresses are either of a fancy fabric or have fancy embroidery.
