So, my mom said that staying in our current place for an extra month wouldn't be a horrible tragedy for us, especially if it takes off some of the time pressure. I really don't want to pay the extra rent, and it turns out that I won't have to. I finally looked at our rental agreement, and we paid them first and last months' rent, plus a security deposit. Well, December will be our last month, then. I still want to get moved over enough so that we can have Thanksgiving at the new place, but if that doesn't happen, then it isn't too big a deal. I really really want to get moved over entirely by mid-December, as I don't want to have anything at the old place when we leave for Christmas vacation.
Things have been moving along pretty well on the housing front. We have decided on colors for two of the rooms (I've been using my image editing skillz to modify photos I've taken of the rooms to show what various paints would look like). Of course, we'll see what the colors really look like when we get some test paint. Also, we have found a big stack of glass tiles in one of our sheds and plan on using those along the top of the wall in the bathroom to give us a little more light.
Anyway, now we are off to the basket store (5th and Washington), which is going out of business and may have some cool Asian-looking decor items.
