Safely Situated

We are all well fed and safely installed in the new hostel.  It is just huge, but our room is spacious and quite nice, so I am content. Prague is definitely not what I expected.  I kind of expected it to be like Tallinn. Instead, it is kind of like New Vegas from the Fallout series.  It isn't exactly seedy, and it isn't exactly sketchy. It just feels like it has a chaotic alignment (from Dungeons and Dragons), and I don't mean chaotic good.  Joel wasn't really sure about this impression, but then we were walking down a street, and he thought to himself, "Yeah, I can see this as 'sketchy'", and that was before we passed a three or four year-old kid in a stroller waving around a toy machine gun. It just feels kind of strange here.  That's okay, though. While I don't love the city and it is definitely more expensive than Budapest or Krakow, they have just fantastic produce here. And the most beautiful, big, ripe figs cost about 25¢.  That part is wonderful!
