Haven't posted for a while but yesterday's game was such a blast I felt the need to immortalize it. Hopefully I can do it justice.
I've missed a couple games so I'll do a quick catch-up. The girls had finally entered the Wyld, the Bordermarches at first. They came upon a tribal village in the trees that needed their help finding their long lost protector who was trapped in a Manse nearby. The manse was the first age love nest of Bright Summer and Pale Winter that had been usurped by Demons. They were able to clean it out and liberate the Lunar guardian (For those playing at home, he was Magnificent Jaguar)
Continuing their journey they stumble upon a forest made of cats. Grey cats made the rocks, brown catch stacked atop eachother to make trees, and little cat mosquitos buzzed around. What can I say, I know my audience. (Cat Forest does appear in the Wyld book, I was inspired.) The circle met an old woman who claimed to take care of the cats. She told them that her kitties were being poached by the Fair Folk and that she would aid the Circle if they could do something about it and so they did.
She revealed herself to be Mistress Emerald the former City Goddess of Sperimin. She had lost much of her power and knowledge when Raksi usurped the city and was banished to the Wylds. She told the circle what she knew of the Queen of Fangs. Raksi was a promising young student who fled into the Wyld at the Usurpation. While trapped there she was made the guest of the Fair Folk. Every Fae has 5 Graces, physical representations of their Virtues and Will. They "gifted" Raksi with 5 of her own but when she returned from the Wyld, her Grace of Compassion was missing. Her madness is linked to this.
The circle decides that facing an insane Raksi is not ideal and takes it upon themselves to find the missing Grace. Emerald tells them that it is most likely to be in the Opal Court, the Eastern Court of the Fae in the Deep Wyld. She also gifts them with phat loots. Summer gets a golden kitty that folds itself into a Long Powerbow. Winter gets a large fat cat that climbs onto her and acts as Moonsilver armor. Old Scratch recieved two kittens that clasp over her wrists and sprout long silver claws in combat.
This has gone on a bit long already, I'll post part 2 tomorrow, wherein the party descends into the Middlemarches and Deep Wyld. Its exactly as crazy as it ought to be.
