So I'm officially moved in to my new apartment. Unloading the last few boxes is a pain because its all the random crap that you accumulate and say "Oh, I'm totally going to need this in the future" but then the future comes and it still sucks but you don't wanna throw it out.
I have depleted the entire contents of my savings account on furniture, but the upside is that I won't need anything for a looooong while. I now have a couch, desk, table, dresser, TV, Bookcase, Bed, and countless kitchen supplies. The apartment I live in is a split level, so there's a little nook upstairs where I sleep with a few closets with everything else downstairs.
"Southern Hospitality" doesn't exist in major metropolitan areas. Has anyone else experienced this? I was walking Dr. Wily the other day and some crazed fat dude decided to come at me and give me a kick in the ass. As I scurried off, he pushed the guy behind me into the street. It was empty, so he didn't die...
There's a bar down the street called the Midtown Tavern (the area I live in is called Midtown), and apparently the owner is from Detroit. There are four banners on the wall next to the bar: Detroit Tigers, Red Wings, that godforsaken Winged Helmet, and one for Michigan State University. Hooray! It's my new favorite hangout...ok only hangout...that and Taco Bell.
8 days until classes begin...
