- A host of theatre artists will join Jonathan Reid-Gealt for an upcoming concert at the Canal Room in 2010. The Jan. 11, 2010, concert will feature special guests Jeremy Jordan, Tituss Burgess, Lauren Kennedy, Quentin Earl Darrington, Katie Thompson, Bobby Steggert, Phoebe Strole, Stephanie Umoh, Matt DeAngelis, Kasey Marino, Michael Mahany, Natalie Weiss, Adam Armstrong, Bridie Carroll and Rachel Potter.
- Memphis and Fela! will offer special performances to benefit the Actors Fund in January 2010. The Jan. 17 performance of Memphis at the Shubert Theatre and the Jan. 25 performance of Fela! at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre will benefit the non-profit organization. Show time for both performances is 8 PM.

- Randy Graff and Amy Irving will headline Motherhood Out Loud for Hartford Stage, beginning Feb. 25, 2010.
- Frances McDormand will lead the Wooster Group presentation of James Strahs's 1982 work North Atlantic at Redcat in Los Angeles.
- James Yaegashi will star in The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, a multimedia stage adaptation of the novel by Pulitzer Prize nominee Haruki Murakami, at the Ohio Theatre in Manhattan.

- Producer Cameron Mackintosh has a musical adaptation of the 1985 film A Private Function in the works. The new tuner would feature music and lyrics by Mary Poppins team George Stiles and Anthony Drewe and a book by Queer as Folk‘s Ron Cowen and Daniel Lipman. According to the report, A Private Function would aim for a try-out at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in anticipation of a West End opening around Easter 2011.
- Will Broadway soon be bathed in "Red?" "Red," about American abstract expressionist painter Mark Rothko has been receiving high marks from London reviewers, and transfer rumors have begun to reach Broadway, with the play tipped to arrive before the end of the current season. The London production stars Alfred Molina and Eddie Redmayne.
- Horton Foote's final work, The Orphans' Home Cycle, which is currently premiering Off-Broadway, has snagged a few Broadway admirers. The New York Times reports that producers Jeffrey Richards and Daryl Roth are discussing a possible Broadway transfer of the ambitious nine-play cycle, now running at the Signature Theatre. The aim would be to transfer the production in time for Tony eligibility.
- George Bernard Shaw’s Mrs. Warren’s Profession, starring Felicity Kendal, is set to play the West End’s Comedy Theatre for a 14-week engagement. Directed by Michael Rudman, the production will begin performances on March 16, 2010 and open on March 25, 2010.
