As you can see, now that I keep my LJ logged out as a default, I don't post as much. I can't be bothered to sign in. Really. But now I doubt anyone will read my entries because they're all a short novel. D:

All's been well lately. I finally got my 40 hours from the bakery, even though I might leave. Starbucks is hiring, and rumour has it for $10/hr. I'll see if I can get full time hours there and then I can quit at the bakery. I like Dave and Sue (mostly Dave because Sue can get scary - she was throwing things today, and then she picked up a knife. I ran for it), but the work done there merits more than minimum wage.

I had 3 cups of coffee today because I had to wake up at 6:30 to make it to work for 7:30. I loafted though, for like half an hour and had to rush my shower and hair. I got there and they weren't even there to let me in. I had to go home and call Sue twice. She left her cell off, so I couldn't contact her. So I went back to wait, and they came at 7:40, so we had about 20 minutes to get the breads/croissants/danishes out, have the coffees made, get the deli ready, turn on the lights in all the cases, get the cappuccino machine ready, etc.

I finally got my SOAR (summer orientation) date booked for Queen's. It's on Wednesday the 18th. :D It's going to be really cool. I still haven't been to Kingston. I'm really excited. I also got all the forms filled out that needed filling out, and I sent in my scholarship cheque so I already have a bit of tuition into my tuition account there. The ball is rolling on this sucka. I move in September 2nd.

During some of my time off, I started watching movies like mad.

I caught Blood Diamond, which was really good. I did some research and some work to help Sierra Leone (fund raising in grade 10 to build a school there), so I found the movie interesting. Leo's accent was a bit questionable, but I loved hearing him talk anyway.

I also saw Pan's Labyrinth. Really cool movie. The faun is awesome. That big white thing with eyes in his hands though... a little freaky. For a while, I doubted any of it was real - maybe it was all in her imagination, but then the faun gave her something tangible.

I watched The Prestige with my dad. He asked too many questions about the movie so I didn't quite understand everything (I don't think). That was a cool movie, though. I loved magic tricks when I was a kid. Actually, the first career I picked out for myself (when I was like 5) was a magician. Hahahaha.

Ohh, and Night at the Museum. That was a fun movie. I love Ben Stiller, and Owen Wilson makes a great cowboy. Rexy was adorable. XD After watching some not-so-happy movies, I enjoyed something that had a happy ending. Or at least a movie where someone didn't die at the end.

Same goes for Accepted. Happy ending. I liked that movie because Justin Long and Lewis Black are both cool. I liked how the girl who was in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants was in that movie. In the Sisterhood, her name was Bee, and in Accepted, Justin Long's name was Bee. Haha.

My relatives from Florida came back for a night. I ate duck. It tastes like chicken. We gotta go to someone's house for a dinner tonight so I'm trying to be... not asleep.

Oh yeah. Yesterday I babysat for the first time ever. My neighbour's two kids. They're about 3-6 years old. I don't know exactly. They're good kids. Like, the listened to me. They just have too much damn energy. I thought they'd be asleep because I started at like 8 AM. No. They were wide awake and ready to run around and scream. Yes, fun. (For them) The older one made the younger one cry twice. They thought I had kids of my own. lol No. Right now I hate kids. I'm hoping that will change when I grow up because I like big families. It was still the easiest $30 I ever made, and I only had to watch them for 3 hours.

I think I'm done for now. I want something sweet.

family, queen's, movies, work
