The day of Prom, Gina would not get out of bed until like... 4:30 PM. XD I didn't know this at the time, but there were pictures being taken at some garden at 5:00 and we missed it. Oh well!
Since it was Prom, I wore my fancy ninja mask. The silver pattern matched my shoes. ;) Gina wore her suit, which was super smexy. I ninja'd her face because I wasn't sure if she'd mind or not. XD
My dad drove us there, and there was a ton of people outside. We waited around and I introduced Gina to my friends.
This is me and Renata! <3 Isn't she so pretty?
Apparently heels are supposed to improve your posture. They ruined mine! I'm not used to being taller than people so I hunched a bit to be at a more comfortable height.
More from out front. That's Vicky, Rachael, Crystal and me.
Once we got inside, it was pretty much just mingling for a while, and photo taking. The banquet hall was actually really really small. It was v. crowded. D:
Jocelyn and I. Don't I look completely retarded? Jocelyn is gorgeous, though. :]
I'm really only friends with two people in this photo: the two guys next to me.
The asian guy is Ryan, and next to him is Scott, and the girl is ... I don't know. Then there's Masoud, Matt and me.
Jocelyn posing in Gina's hat. V. smexy.
We started fighting over who had the sexier date (I did, by the way. Gina is totally hotter than Lauren!). They still tried though, with the undressing of Lauren.
And there's Tori, Gavin, Josh and Noory.
Gavin asked Gina to dance. Awww! ;)
Dinner was alright. We were served pasta, chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes, with ice cream sitting on top of this berry syrup for dessert. Apparently there was no point in student council asking and writing down if people needed vegetarian meals or not.
Gina got me to dance. Yes. Dance. Me.
My back still kinda hurts from it. But I had fun. Shoes came off after the first two hours. The DJ played some good songs, but most of it was like 10 year old stuff and it wasn't even good. And it was all hip hoppy gangsta' rap, or reggae which I still don't quite like. The DJ didn't play any of my/Gina/Kevin's requests.
Of course, he had to end the night with that old Vitamin C song about graduating high school. I forgot what it's called. "Graduation"? It made me sad, though. Everyone made a huge circle and swayed. lol
It was a little depressing that everyone was off to the after party at the end of the night, and I had to go home. The only party was at the Sheridan dorms and it costs $60 to get a room with 3 other people. Boo.
But Gina and I still stayed up until like 4:30 playing Super Smash Melee and just talking.
Overall, I had fun, but at the end of it, I could help but think, "that's it?"
Gina stayed until this afternoon, so we had a good amount of time to spend together. We stayed up until at LEAST 4:00 every night morning. Gina woke up generally around 4-6 PM every day. That woman can sleep forever.
The next day was exam return, so I saw everyone again. I'm getting an A in everything. I heard some fun stories about the after party. Lauren put lipstick on Gavin. Not well either because she was drunk. He was high. lol Jocelyn said we MUST see each other this summer because she has something to give me. And I have to see Renata because I need to give her her pictures.
Gi and I spent a good amount of time drawing and reading. She's letting me borrow the annotated Alice and The Most Evil Pirates in History. I like Alice so far, except literally one word ("Alice") has two and a half pages of annotations. I skim though. Some of it is actually interesting.
She brought over some birthday gifties! X3 I got an oriental dish set. One square flat plate, rice bowl, sauce bowl and two pairs of chop sticks. I'm so taking it to Queen's.
On Friday, We took a walk around the area. We went to the bakery because I wanted to wish my coworker fun on her England trip. Friday was her last day and I told her I'd visit. I got coffee, which I haven't had in a long time. Then we walked to Roger's Video to see if we can rent Abbott and Castello for my mom. But apparently you need a driver's license and a credit card to rent anything.
It just so happened that I got my first Visa card that morning. I shit you not. It's one of those small limit things for people who turn 18. I must use it wisely, and this was not wise. Plus I don't drive, so I just left it.
Gi and I walked back the other way down the street, passed the bakery to Shopper's because I needed mousse. There was a Starbucks in the way. I had to go in. XD I ended up buying the chocolate and caramel covered pretzel stick. Very yummy.
We went to Shoppers and I was actually very hesitant to buy the mousse. I'm THAT scared to spend money because of my dad. But Gina forced me to buy it. She put it down my top. I didn't know, but it was on sale, so sweet deal.
After that we head to the park and there was a little girl who followed us everywhere. It was so cute but it meant we couldn't do anything stupid like jump off of high places. I wanted to jump off the swing, but I knew she'd copy. Once it started to get dark, we head home.
Oh, and I had the entire season one of Venture Bros, so Gina watched it all. In one night, actually. I fell asleep around episode 4 or 5. That night/morning, she didn't go to bed until like, 10 AM. Oh, Gina.
Sunday, we had to get up a little earlier than usual because my aunt and uncle (and 2 cousins) from Florida randomly came up to Canada and would be spending some time here. I drifted in and out of sleep between 8 and 10 AM, until I heard someone ringing the doorbell like a little child. Then I got up and hopped in the shower.
My family is totally cool. It's my Caribbean side. They're not my blood relatives, but very very very close to my parents. My cousins were saying "Man you know you're old when the little ones are graduating and getting ready for college."
They made me a little awkward asking about boyfriends and stuff around my parents. @__@ But hey, that's what family is for. I got to drink some Bailey's but erm... it was... a little... strong for me. ^^; Neal made fun of me. I made it lighter with milk, but I still didn't like it, so Gina finished it. I've only drank about 4 times in my life, so I haven't quite acquired a taste for alcohol yet.
Umma came around 2 to get Gina, and they were off. Gina almost forgot her fancy suit here. XD I think this is the first time she actually remembered to take everything.
A short while after Gi left, MORE family came over. It's actually the family of my uncle. His sister, her husband, his brother, and two kids. Full house.
Noisy house. @__@
They left... sometime in the evening. They'll be back Thursday.
Work called and told me my new schedule. I got 25 hours/week. I asked for full time, which is 40. My dad said to find something else because I won't make enough money there. I'm considering the retirement home. Those places always pay nicely - at least $10/hr.
Now my sleep schedule is inverted. Thanks, Gi.
