Absolutely agreed.

I'd also like to add from Arstechnica.com they did make an interesting point with that song. It's not parody, it's satire since it doesn't make fun of the original song. Which the version taught to school children leaves some of the original lyrics out, so it's not the original song anyhow.

I'm not the most legal person in the world for these reasons... Though maybe I should keep my mouth shut as I'm sure we're both huge red flags on someone's watch list.

The FCC moved to expand the governments ever expanding surveillance powers into internet telephony.

Just because its legal now doesn't mean they weren't already doing this.

I love being a conspiracy nut in everyone else's eyes...

I am completely aware of ALL of these - ALL by personal knowledge and not through any particular news source.

I recently used some software by 321 Studios for the purpose of copying DVDs. Their site says they are currently being sued so there are no updates for their software.

Just found out about the Internet Telephony thing today. I got a home phone through Comcast. I hate giving them more money, but I get unlimited long distance and regular calls for $20 a month. Thats a lot less than the overage charges on my cell phone lately.

The tivo thing I did hear on the news actually...

The P2P thing... well, lets just say I DJ weddings... I know whats out there and I know better than to share anything.

The flash thing I saw a few weeks ago and heard there was some shit going down with that.

Maybe its time for a revolution?

Welcome to the new America. I guess Jello Biafra was right all these years about government control and involvement screwing everything up and turning this country into a fascist state...
