3 birthdays a Maya Festival and 1 Cowbell.

Last Tuesday i got my ears checked and found out i both ears were severely blocked by hardened wax.  The doctor said i would need to administer ear drops and come back in a week so she could pry the loosened wax out then.  Right now i'm hoping this will significantly improve my hearing, something i had thought permanently damaged from loud music. Fingers crossed.

I arrived at Joni's friday night to find Rich, Linda and Joni sprawled out the front garden enjoying the warm night conditions and heavy refreshments.  Later Joni, Linda and i popped in to Stella's birthday party.  i'm now a huge fan of Brie and basil pesto on crackers - i must have gone on about it for at least 10 minutes.

Saturday morning started slightly dulled - i tried to loosen some ear wax and succeeded in blocking my left ear further... tuesday can't come sooner.  Then Deco Breakfast for Bron's birthday lifted my mood and kicked off an awesome Maya Festival day.  Beautiful summer conditions, i probably soaked up more Vitamin D than i had for the last 6 months.  The was a happy hippy vibe that made for a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Sunday Joni and i tried a new place in the entertainment guide, 'Filter'.  The place was packed so we waited a while for breakfast, but the food was fantastic.  Afterwards we headed to the city to get some things done.  We bought a cowbell for Ruvith's birthday, testing each one till we agreed on the sound.  We headed to the Oakley store and i finally got the choice for new frames down to a style - Dictate 2.0.  I'm still pondering the matte black or the pewter look, though the colours have little difference.  The next step is visiting an OPSM to sort out the purchase, maybe even after work today.

In the evening Ruvith's mum served an awesome dinner to a ridiculously packed room.  Quite a relaxing end to the weekend.

joni, birthday, maya, cowbell.
