We had a full anniversary weekend that I had planned for B, but because I got sick some of my plans got a little messed up and I didn't get to follow through with half of them. Fortunately I have a loving and understanding husband and he made the best of what I intended and we still had a good time for the most part.
Friday night date at an unusual "art" exhibit - not a recommended first date unless you're into this sort of thing or a med student - obviously I'm not.
Bodies Exhibit in Rosslyn:
Although very well and respectfully done, it creeped me out seeing real dissected bodies. Not something I would have gone to see on my own, but B was fascinated - he spent an hour examining just one exhibit. I just wish we hadn't gotten there so late so he could look longer, but also glad because I didn't want to linger.
Saturday - Horseback Riding at
Misty Manor Riding Stables in Marriottsville, Maryland:
Lots of fun and a little excitement when the horses got spooked by some nests of bees along the trail that we disturbed. People and horses got stung; one lady fell off her horse and another reared up with the guy hanging on for dear life - then they all took off. yeah - and me with no voice to yell for help or even "Whoa!". Like I said - excitement.
I also met some beautiful cats this weekend:
One of the friendly greeters at a riding stable I was at in Maryland over the weekend - a very friendly guy - looks a bit like a Bengal (everything looks like a Bengal to me) or Egyptian Mau or Ocicat possibly:
At a Cat Show on Sunday; not something I planned to attend, but B indulged the crazy cat lady in me. I fell in love with this big boy named Platinum - a gorgeous Maine Coon. I want him! I'm trying to convince B he wants a Maine Coon too... or a Bobtail. I could be happy with either - or both.
and his sister named Justice:
Overall it was a busy, but good weekend, despite being sick. I was really tired though and probably overdid it, but it was worth it to have some quality time doing some different things with my love; making new memories.
