so this could quite possibly be the worst christmas ever.
waking up in an empty trailer except for the charlie brown christmas tree your mom sent you...sucks.
the one day of the year it rains like cats and dogs and turns the whole world into sticky mud...sucks.
lugging 50 lbs of armor and weapons through said mud a country mile to the dining facility and waiting 20 minutes for food....sucks.
waiting 20 minutes for food and then realizing you have to go back because you forgot your dod id card...sucks.
almost getting sick after drinking eggnog from said d-fac...sucks.
already being sick with bronchitis and coughing and choking all the way back from d-fac to internet lounge...sucks.
BUT, having all five limbs (count em')and a sound mind with the knowledge that there are people back in the united states who love me and appreciate our work in iraq....fucking kicks ass. i realize i really shouldnt be bitching about everything when im still alive and even have the day off (barring catastrophic attack of some kind) so i guess its alright. not every christmas can be as good as the one where i got my ninja turtles blimp. but i hope all of yours is. so MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY AND HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
