HAPPY EASTER!!!
Yes, even though I am not a religious person (being raised Catholic will do that to a person *smirk), I love Easter. It's always been kind of a big celebration for my family. Of course, my love for it could have more to do with the fact that Easter is also when we celebrate my and my older sister's birthdays. My mom makes the bunny cakes and it's just a great day. This year we are all going to a park to enjoy bbq ribs and chicken, salads, and more. We've never done the picnic at the park thing on Easter before, but I think it will be fun. Good to be out in the cool, fresh air. Yeah, fancy that! It's actually cool here this weekend. Very weird, but I love it.
The kiddies and Tim already found their Easter baskets. The Easter Bunny brought Bruce and Russell light sabers; a Mace Windu and an Annakin. Joshua got a $20 gift card to Target and Tim got a Jimmy Buffet cd set. David, Tim's dad, came by and got Bruce and Russell to take them to church and then an Easter egg hunt. They'll drop them off at the park when they get through. I'm sure they will have a blast. Joshua could have gone too, but he is still feeling bad (sinus infection) and he probably didn't really want to go anyway.
The Easter Bunny always seems to forget mommy, but that's okay...my mom kinda prepared me for that years ago. In the 37+ years she's been doing the Easter basket thing, never once has anyone made her one. I usually try to bring her an Easter lily because she loves them, but I really need to make her an Easter basket. I know she'd love it.
