i texted my dad earlier today to tell him that i got our tickets for the hobbit.
he called me back a couple hours later and asked me if i've read the book, because he's reading it right now and i'd better be prepared to discuss it before and after the movie on friday, so if i needed to brush up, do so, and to also be ready to refresh him on the background source material.
