Having a rare day off, I went and did some Christmas shopping in West Virginia and saw Life of Pi.

Firstly, can I just say that every single time I see Martin Freeman's lovely face on a Hobbit poster, I flail and squeal and die a little inside. I'm so excited, guys, I can't even tell you. Add that to the whole new ball of alskdjflds that is my movie joy after seeing the Star Trek Into Darkness trailer and I may just suffer a coronary before next summer AND THEN COMES IRON MAN 3 THEN THOR 2 AND MORE HOBBIT SO I DON'T EVEN KNOW.

Anyways.

Life of Pi was lovely. I've never read the book, so I went in only having the briefest idea what it was about, and was pleasantly surprised. The story, acting, and oh my God, the visuals, were excellent. Though, honestly, the four extra dollars I paid for 3D were four dollars wasted, as I inevitably feel about 3D. The glasses make everything so dark and they're just a pita. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to see the Hobbit in 3D because I'm seeing it with my dad and he refuses to see it in anything else, le siiiigh.

Also, I'm such a crotechety old women, but I'm still immensely pleased with myself for reprimanding the two little preteen girls who tittering at full volume during the first half of the movie and telling them how disrespectful to the other moviegoers they were being. Had a nice little moment of yeah? yeah? i'm an adult, behave yourselves you little hooligans! I just honest to God can't take people talking loudly during movies, it drives me nuts.

I finally completed my HP movie set the other day with, ironically, the Sorcerer's Stone. The guy at the store was all oh, are you collecting them? We have the whole blu-ray set! I was like...what, exactly, do you think was going to make me take a leap from buying a seven dollar dvd to a three hundred and sixty five dollar set? Bit optimistic, that. ANYWAY I'm watching it now and just dying over how small and adorable and precious they all are. And little Draco obvs hero-worshipping the shit out of Snape and Hermoine's hair. SML. Got to be careful, though, this way leads four days lost to HP fan fic. Though I doubt even that would be enough to knock the Sherlock monkey off my back.

THIS IS A BORING ENTRY. VERY BORING. BUT I JUST RE-UPPED MY PAID ACCOUNT SO I NEED TO USE IT.
