LONG stressful week

Jun 28, 2012 10:14

Thank goodness it is almost over.  I've had meetings, conference calls and doctor's appointments all week.  Plus Jeff has been going into the city all week.

Camp started Monday and on Tuesday evening it was meet the staff night.  The counselors were all introduced by in typical teen fashion they mumbled or spoke so softly that you couldn't hear them. Of course it wasn't helpful that the kids were playing a very rowdy game of sand volleyball right next to the pavilion where the staff was speaking.

Saw the orthopedist yesterday.  Since I am still in pain we are moving onto an MRI which is scheduled for tonight at 6:30.  Next ortho visit is on July 9.

My volunteer position as Chairperson of the Board of Education for the Synagogue is driving me crazy.  Lack of organization and guidance is killing us.  Plus our camp went from 33 campers last year to 10 campers this year.  Not enough income to cover costs.  I had to be the one to tell people that their pay was being cut.  My head and heart hurts over this like you cannot believe.

On a good note, my friend CL and I got a lot of work done on our book proposal and it should be going to the series editor on July 9th for his approval.  Also, I am working Saturday so that means I am off tomorrow. Going to the Scrapbook Expo all by myself.   A very good friend from college might meet me there.  Saturday while I am at work Jeff is taking the kids deep sea fishing with his Dad and brother.  I hope they all have a good time and that the kids don't get seasick.  Better remind him to take dramamine with him.

Back to work. Happy Friday Thursday!
