Happy Birthday To Me!!
Well, today I turned the big 3-0. I thought I was going to be all sad and gloomy about it, but I'm not. I've just been blah about it all day. Let's see, my kid brother and I went to the mall and hung out today, which isn't the norm. He usually pretty much ignores me most of the time...hehe. He's 18, what can a big sister expect? He bought me a cookie from Great American Cookie Company with colored sprinkles and icing streamers all over it, a little one, and sang a very off-key version of Happy Birthday to me very, very softly right there on the bench in front of the store. That was so sweet, my eyes welled up. He never, ever does anything like that. I wanted to cry I was so touched.
My sister and her husband gave me a gift card to walmart which I used to pre-order The Marine. Yes, I'm a lil Cena-obsessed...lol
My birthday is the only day of the year where my husband doesn't argue with me. I told him where I wanted to go for supper and he took me no questions asked. After stuffing ourselves with pizza, we came home and he surprised me with a little blue dog-shaped cake with candles and he sang to me. He's so funny. He sang it in like this really goofy cartoon voice and made faces. I cracked up laughing. He gave me this cute birthday card that was basically a 'thank you' type of card that said Happy Birthday on it. It was a thank you for everything I do and an apology for not showing it as often as he should. It was very sweet. The cake was good too....chocolate, of course...lol
That's pretty much it. I had a decent birthday. Now I go sit on the couch, watch chick flicks and drink wine. :)
