I haven't posted in 9900 years..at least.
So, anyway. I run these groups at Interboro HS and the one is for "high risk" kids (read: kids who mouth off, kids who are truant, kids who use or have probation officers or who are otherwise not the "ideal" interboro student). The other is for LGBTQ kids. Both run the curriculum Making the Peace. It's been plesant and wonderful and has really been the highlight of my near every week. Those kids have my heart. every. last. one. of. them. Last week we celebrated because a boy didn't beat a man with a bat but instead mouthes off to him. THIS, my friend, is progress. :) Oh! And the queer kids are a joy as well! They had no idea what pride was! I was overjoyed to share this with them. Whoever wants to meet the coolest kids in the universe should meet up with me on May 6th. :)
Previously on Days of Our Lives (apparently), DAP had a 30th anniversary gala. Ash was my date, and we wore pretty gowns and gor a hotel room at the Radnor Hotel. All in all, it was a lovely night. Lots of drinking and dancing and laughing and such. However, we have burned our bridges at the Radnor Hotel and the accompanying bar, GlenMorgan. We will NEVER (ever) be welcomed back. Also, glad I still have a medical advocate working under me. ha. ha. yis. :)
I love JoAnn today. She closed 1/2 hour just cause. PEACE OAT!
:)
