So it's coming up on one year since I moved back home from Providence, and I'm doing my best to formulate a plan on how to move out. One would be to move to New York and find temp work and trying to make something happen. The other would be to move clear to Austin and do something there. I really, really don't like being unemployed. The big news first: I saw WALL•E on Monday and it was truly wonderful. Which was what I--and everyone--was expecting, but still. It was gorgeous and funny and really timely and broke new ground for Pixar in more ways than ever before. So see it if you haven't. Firstly! If anyone out there is interested in books, or nonfiction, or the future, or America, or politics, or the world--you should read The Post-American World by Fareed Zakaria. It's an incredibly intelligent, prescient and readable...probably one of the best nonfiction books I've ever read. I don't know what to do with the information therein, ( Read more... )
