The other side...
So, we went over to Aunt Cate's this evening for the Moffett side's birthday party for Alden and Myself. I got a Bowie T-shirt from the concert she went to, which is really cool, and Alden and I both got this arguement game that seems really neat that I may bring to New Years, depending. But it was great to see them
I talked to Kyra this evening in an attempt to understand the whole "Sanctity of Marriage" side of the issue. It's mainly based in the Bible, which is what I thought.

I'm sorry, but comparing homosexuallity to bestiallity? That's just absurd and apalling; it sort of takes away a lot of credibility for your case. No one is really pushing to be allowed to marry an iguana, and I don't see it happening anytime soon.

This is what really gets me: Is religion so abolute as to have the right to divide a family? Should someone really be ostricised over a matter of identity? I really don't think so.

So, I guess that I haven't learned anything about the issue apart from that Kyra and people like her are as faithful to God and close-minded to anything that differs with the Bible as I am faithful to love and human rights and close-minded to religious beliefs influencing legeslation to this extent, and I guess neither party is going to budge on it.
As a disclaimer, for the most part I genuinely like Kyra. She's intelligent and for the most part pretty nice. I just completely disagree with her about this and probably scores of other topics.
