So I was supposed to get my first testosterone shot yesterday....but the pharmacist had other plans apparently. The pharmacy has been closed for 3 days straight. I cannot describe how depressed I was yesterday. Thankfully there was a doctor this morning that was able to pull some strings and I GOT MY FIRST T SHOT! So I'm still wearing the compression vest day and night, which makes it a little difficult to sleep. On top of that, I still have to sleep on my back, on an incline. Don't get me wrong...I want everything to heal perfectly, but I just want to sleep on my side, or my stomach, or be able to move during the night. I am so sick of waking up in the ( Read more... )

So my top surgery was two weeks ago (Wednesday, July 23). Mom came up the next day (Thursday, July 24) to help me recover. Her 52nd birthday was Friday, July 25 and my 27th was Saturday, July 26. The doc said I am a great candidate for peri (read 'minimal scarring and better all-around surgery for me'). My surgery is scheduled for July 23 (Wednesday), three days before my 27th birthday. I will need to see the doc the day after surgery, so Baker and I will stay in Timonium overnight. I should be home by Thursday afternoon. The bad news ( Read more... )

Today is my last session with the trans group. After that, I will be able to get the letter whenever I need it (most likely in about a month or so. Although I may get it early...just to have it in hand).

So I found out yesterday that my time frame and the money I needed to save for surgery had to be shifted....AGAIN! My consultation isn't until June 23, which will probably put my surgery at the end of August. I also found out the the cost of surgery has gone up by $500, from $6800 to $7300 ( Read more... )

The last few weeks have been insane. I finalized the move, got two kittens, started a trans group to get my letter, gone to several parties and have been working like mad.
