It is so hard to believe that yet another year is just about "dead" and gone! As 2007 is fast approaching, I am reminded out how much this past year has been so turbulant. The year started off with a phone call telling us that is was just a matter of time before Chris' eleven year old cousin, who was fighting cancer, would finally succumb to the terrible disease--happy 2006! Then it continued with my dad ending up in the hospital yet again due to his chrones disease, yet another surgery! Oh mustn't forget that I started a new job in between these two things. May to August passed without much happening, just Chris and I working our asses off for who knows what. The middle of August came with some really horrible news, Chris' cousin finally passed away from the bone cancer that he has so valiantly fought for just about two years. That was the hardest funeral that I have ever had to attend--no one should ever have to bury a child--especially a parent!! So onto September and the start of another school year---yah!!!!!!!! Hard to believe that Janelle is already in grade THREE!!!!!!! Life sure does go by far too fast these days. So this brings us to October, not a great month for us either. After dropping me off at work, Chris and the girls were rear-ended, literally a block away from home! This left mostly Janelle injured, she had whip lash and quite possibly TMJ, so the rest of October and all of November were not a pleasant "ride" for us. Janelle missed a month and a half of Tae Kwon Do, and was in pain alot of those days. So after consulting with a lawyer and what have you, we have decided that we are going to sue the guy that hit them, we probably won't get much, but if it is a nest egg for Janelle when she gets older, then all the better for her. And brings us to December, really quite uneventful, with the exception of the holidays of course. We all got super spoiled this year, the girls even more so but that is what Christmas is for. The one day of the year when you can get away with all the "guilty pleasures" and not actually feel guilty about it!!!
So as the New Year is approaching it is quite amazing to sit back and relax and just reflect on the passing year. The New Year looks to be not to bad for the Dunahee household, Madison with be three, and on the heels of her birthday, my best girlfriend(that I have known pretty much my whole life)and her fiance, Kyle, will be welcoming their first child--a son!!! This year also holds the promise of some much needed holidays!!! As well as some major saving--planning a trip to Mexico in early 2008 for a wedding as well as a belated honeymoon for Chris and I--can't wait!!!!!
So I guess that pretty much wraps up my year, pretty sad to see that it fits into three some paragraphs, how boring am I? Life used to be much more exciting when I was younger, what the hell happened???
