Happy Sappy Day.
It's nice and warm outside. So much so, that I decided to take a walk, going nowhere in particular.
Last Thursday, I went to an anime meetup thingy with Marvin. The subject of yaoi floated around the room infinitely more times than he was accustomed to. To make things fair, I had to shift the topic from Weiss Kreuz limefics to the live-action La Blue Girl movie, which I've never seen, but it served the purpose of changing the subject.
Apparently, two of the people there were at A-Kon last year. One of the people there asked me about karaoke after I brought up the subject; specifically, why she wasn't able to find it. I told her that it was stuck between the 'Boys Gone Wild' yaoi-fest and a DDR machine on Friday, and that the concerts, dance and Misfits of Comedy was on Saturday.
Went to the Peach Tree Buffet yesterday for dinner. It's a soul food buffet. The place was at maximum occupancy (200 or so), and there were a total of two non-black people there. I don't like eating there at peak hours because you have to wait in line for certain items. Yesterday, it was the fried chicken. It's damn good, but having to stand in line and wait for them to bring it out irks me to no end. Friday is fried catfish day; it's a fucking nightmare trying to get any of that. Maybe I should've gotten some neckbones, because I haven't had any in forever.
Tonight looks like I'll be going to the Hong Kong Buffet with Marvin. My mom's planning on having a friend over, so I can't really cook anything, because I tend to generate lots of cooking odors. I hope Marvin has some friends meet him there, preferably female ones. But hey, I'm going to yet another buffet.
Got my Missouri state refund. All of $15. I got a 95 on my Candide assignment for Western Civ; considering I put together some BS that I could remember from high school about the meaning of the book, I did pretty well. As long as the tests are essay, I'll be perfectly fine in that class.
I should probably read my poetry text now. I'm kind of behind on my reading in there.
