1. Mama Do:
David steps into the kitchen, looking around at the state that his boyfriend had left it in from when he'd been rushing around to make it to his meeting on time earlier that morning. He shakes his head gently, knowing that he won't be able to make it through the rest of his day knowing that the kitchen was that much of a wreck. He walks down the hall from the kitchen and grabs the cleaning supplies out from their closet. After making a pitstop in the bedroom to grab his ipod, he made his way back to the kitchen. He sets the cleaning supplies down and presses play on his ipod. As he makes his way around the kitchen grabbing things off of the table and placing them into the sink he starts to sing along to the song playing.
"There's something bout the night and the way it hides all the things I like. Little black butterflies deep inside me," he sing loudly, shaking his hips as he cleans the table and counter off.
Once the table is cleared off, David grabs the cleaning solution and sprays it onto the counter top and the kitchen table. He grabs the rag, and makes his way over to the counter dancing as he moves. He starts to wipe the spray off in time to the music he's listening to.
"Why should I feel ashamed? Feeling guilty at the mention of your name. Here we are again, it's nearly perfect," he rolls his hips as he says perfect.
He makes his way over to the table, and starts to wipe the liquid solution off of that aswell. He bends a little bit as he works.
"What would my mama do, if she knew about me and you? What would my daddy say if he saw me hurt this way," he holds the last note out a bit longer than the singer on his ipod before joining in singing the rest of the song.
He leans further over the table and just as he lets out the last, "Uh oh, uh oh," he feels strong arms wrap around his middle.
"I think I caught you in quite the position," he hears his boyfriends gravely voice say, and all he can do is laugh and say, "Uh oh?"
2. Cry Me Out:
David walks into the bathroom, cleaning supplies in hand. He sets them down on the floor, and pulls out what he needs and sets them on the counter. He reaches into his pocket and presses play on his ipod, before locking it. He then picks up the mirror spray, and applies it to the mirror. He picks up a rag, and starts to clean the mirror.
"You'll have to cry me out. You'll have to cry me out. The tears that'll fall mean nothing at all it's time you get over yourself," he sways a bit as he wipes the last bit of cleaner off of the mirror.
He picks up the cleaning foam for the floor and starts to spray it. He gets down on his hands and knees on the floor and starts to clean up the foam with the sponge. He applies more foam when needed as he moves back on the floor.
"Baby, you ain't all that. Maybe there's no way back. You can keep talking, but, baby, I'm walking away," he moves his head to the music.
He finishes cleaning the floor and smiles lightly as he stands up, and holds onto the cleaning supplies. He admires the work he has done in such a short amount of time, and lets himself sing along to his ipod.
"Won't hurt a little bit. Boy, better get used to it. You can keep talking, but, baby, I'm walking away," he turns around to leave the bathroom.
He smacks into someone else, and looks up into the face of his grinning boyfriend. He pulls one of the ear buds out of his ear when he sees his boyfriends mouth moving.
"What," he cuts the older man off.
"Do you always sing when you clean," the other male chuckles.
"Is there a problem if I do," he huffs, a little annoyed now.
The older male shakes his head with a grin, "No, it's adorable."
With that the older male leans down and pecks David's lips.
3. Band Aid:
David walks into the bedroom with his ipod already playing. He knows he only has a short amount of time to clean this room before his boyfriend is back, and this time he has no intentions of getting caught singing while he cleans, though he knows that that may be an unlikely goal since he can't help it.
He starts to make his way to the bed, letting himself sing softly, "When I met you, I didn't really like you."
He lets out a light sigh as he takes the sheets of their bed into his hand and starts to pull them up on the bed. He mimics that movement for the other sheets on the bed, and then the comforter. He picks up the pillows and fluffs them before setting them down at the head of the bed.
"Isn't it funny how things get turned around? Just when I thought I knew you, you proved me wrong," he smiles as he places Cook's pillow down.
He picks up some of Cooks clutter that he left lying around, and starts to put things back where they belong. He smiles as he picks up one of Cook's guitars, and places it back on it's stand.
"There's something about you that's like the sun. You warm up my heart when I come undone. You're like my sould mate and all of those things. When I hurt, when I break, you are my band aid," he runs his hand over the neck of Cook's guitar, before turning and walking out of their room.
4. Turn It Up:
He steps into the shower and lets the water cascade over his body. Picking up the soap he starts to rub it against his skin. Washing his skin as he dances a little under the water. He picks up the two in one shampoo and conditioner combo and squirts some into his hand. He starts to massage it into his hair making soft "oohs" and "aahs" at the feeling. He steps back under the water and lets the chemicals wash out of his hair as he closes his eyes. He continues to move a bit to the music in his head. He finally lets himself over to the music in his head and starts to sing aloud.
"I might lose my mind for awhile, but I'll be fine. Have you heard there's this thing that heals and it's called time. Clock can tick away, happy will fall in place and though my heart will break a new me will fill the space. I know you can't stay so I won't be waiting, anticipating for the fall. We had our time, baby. So I won't be waiting, anticipating for the call. Turn it up, turn it up for the people that say we're moving on and we'll be okay. Turn it up, turn it up for the people that say we're moving on and we'll be okay. Turn it up, turn it up for the people that say we're moving on and we'll be okay. Turn it up, turn it up for the people that say we're moving on and we'll be okay. Turn it up, turn it up for the people that say we're moving on and we'll be okay. Turn it up, turn it up for the people that say we're moving on and we'll be okay," he laughs lightly when he finishes and turns the shower off.
5. Boys and Girls:
David stands in the bedroom he shares with his boyfriend. He knows he's home alone, the note that had been left on the bedside table from his boyfriend told him that. He makes his way over to the dresser and hits the play button on the dock that's holding his ipod. He smiles at the music as he starts to get dressed just happy to have some background noise. Once he's done he starts to work on his hair. The smile on his face growing as the song changes.
He starts to sing along as he poses in various positions infront of the mirror, "I'm looking in the mirror and I think I'm liking what I see. Big big lights shining bright like I'm on the t.v. My heart pumps as the bass drum thumps. You gotta move when the floor board jumps. Somethings going on and I think it's going on right now."
He dances around the room to the chorus and the next verse silently. Laughing here and there at how ridiculous he probably looks. He shakes his hips and dips down a bit. He closes his eyes and gives himself over to the music playing.
"Woah oh, baby don't stop. Woah oh, keep the vibe hot. Woah oh, baby don't stop. Woah oh, keep the vibe hot. Turn it on, make it strong, a good beat never hurt noone. All the boys and the girls they got it going on," he sings and shakes his hips to the music.
"Actually I think Archuleta's got it going on," his boyfriend cuts him off.
David's head snaps up and his eyes shoot open, "Cook you said you'd knock."
All Cook can do is laugh and shake his head at his boyfriend.
6. Gravity:
David looks around the living room and shakes his head. His family is supposed to be visiting in about and hour and it looks as though a tornado hit the room. He starts to pick things up, his ipod playing a song softly in the background. He hums along to it at first as he tidies up the papers on the coffee table. He knows that Cook likes his mess, claims that as an artist he needs things to be this way, but David thinks that Cook can deal with his piles being clean just this once. He then leaves the room to grab the most important tool he has at the moment.
He comes back into the room holding onto the vaccum cleaner. He bends down and plugs the machine in. Once he's standing again he flips the switch to turn it on.
"I know I betrayed, but I'm made to ignore the universe when I see you. Cause every night the stars will shine, verging into U-turn signs," he cuts off when he hits a tricky part of the rug.
He puts his focus onto cleaning that spot, before moving onto the rest of the floor. He moves around the room trying to clean the rug as best as he can considering the circumstances.
He starts to sing again, "Be quiet, let me leave, let me go. Don't say another word cause with every sound you're pulling me down. Baby you got a hold on me like gravity."
He flicks the vaccum cleaner off, and moves to put it away just as the doorbell rings.
7. My Love:
David is in the kitchen pulling down different seasonings for tonights dinner. He knows that Cook will be home within the next ten minutes which means that he has to work quickly unless he wants to constantly be sidetracked. He looks over at the meat which he has cleaned and beaten as he grabs the last jar he needs. He starts to mix the different seasons together to make a paste. Once he's done he starts to spread it onto the meat and lets himself relax to the song on his ipod.
"Your love, your kiss, you are the guy I love, that belongs to me and I can't live without you. Don't wanna lose, don't wanna lose my love," he sings as he spreads the last of the paste onto the meat.
He picks up the pan that the meat is in and sets it into the preheated oven, and closes it.
"You're the definition of a life I would be missin', oh. We can make this right. I cannot live without you by my side. Take all my love, take my soul, my mind. Too much to let go, don't wanna lose," he cuts off as he turns around and screams.
"OH MY GOSH! Cook don't you like know how to announce your presence," he asks with his hand over his racing heart.
"Honey I'm home," the other male exclaims with a grin.
8. Jack:
David is curled up on the couch reading a book as he waits for Cook to get out of the shower. His ipod currently playing one of his new favorite songs. He hums softly, as he turns the page and continues to read. He knows his focus is shot. How can he honestly follow what he is reading when he knosw that his boyfriend is just merely feet away naked and wet? He sighs, and sets his ipod down. He just focuses on the music, and starts to sing along softly.
After awhile he starts to get louder, "Sitting by my window pane thinking I might go insane. Why do you only shoot me halfway to the moon? And I can't get over that, over that. Baby, after loving Jack, there's no going back, going back. Oh no, no, after loving Jack, there's no going back."
He looks up when he hears clapping, and blushes up at his boyfriend.
9. Nothing Compares:
"Baby sing to me," he hears his boyfriend say softly.
David smiles down at him, "What do you want me to sing?"
"The first thing that comes to mind," the older male says.
David sits up in bed a little and looks down at his gorgeous boyfriend with a smile, "Okay."
He takes a few deep breathes and starts, "Walking down Brick Lane, feel the blue. Winds blowing lightly and I picture you. Sweet Sunday morning, with nothing to do. Love is like a sweet dream, when it's just me and you."
He lets his thumb caress the older male's cheek when he says the last you.
He starts back up, "Open my window, sing me a song. Baby can't you see this is where I belong. With your hand in my hand, still feel that love. Really wish that we could go back to the way it was."
He lets out a light sigh, thinking back to the Idol days when they were always together. He shakes his head because he needs to stay in the here and now because they only have a few more hours together before Cook's flight.
"They say if it doesn't kill you it'll make you stronger. Oh, but I can't be without you any longer. Everytime I let it go, baby it's true ... nothing compares to you, nothing compares to you."
He's cut off by a soft kiss that tells him that everything is going to be alright.
10. Here We Go Again:
David is sitting on the front steps watching Cook mow the lawn. He sighs gently at how perfect his boyfriend is. He just lets his eyes move over the other male's body as a smile grows on his lips. He knows that if he doesn't stop staring soon that he's going to get caught, but he doesn't really care too much. He's caught Cook staring at him multiple times so it's only fair right?
"Whatcha listening to now baby," he hears the other male calling out to him over his ipod.
"Here We Go Again," he calls back.
"How does it go," his boyfriend asks.
David doesn't even think about it before he just opens his mouth and starts to sing it, "I don't care about tomorrow, here we go again, here we go again. I'll be the last one on the dancefloor, when this party ends, when this party ends."
His boyfriend has stopped mowing the lawn by the time he finishes the second line, and is now infront of him smiling.
"I totally bet you sound better then the original person singing it," Cook grins.
All David can do is blush.
11. The Way The World Works:
David knows he shouldn't mope around, he does. But it's been weeks since he's seen Cook and being in an empty house is starting to get to him. He is currently attatched to the couch wearing one of Cooks baggy t-shirts, and a pair of Cook' sweatpants which are a little too long for him. His ipod is playing a song which reminds him of his own situation, and he can feel the tears falling from his eyes, but he doesn't care anymore. He wants his Cookie and he wants him now.
His voice is soft as he sings, "Calling on the universe, maybe once just put me first. Give me what I need or just a little sign. Nothing plays out like it should. Nothing does me any good. Cause I'm missing you, and it's making me cry. Oh I know it's turning, inside I'm burning, and.."
"Baby I'm home," he hears a voice call as the front door opens.
12. Hold Me In Your Arms:
David cuddles into a sleeping Cook. Just looking up at his face with a light smile. He knows that Cook likes to have him sing him to sleep, and even though the older male is already sleeping David doesn't really see how him still singing to the other male can really hurt the situation so he does.
"Though I'm a little scared that all the times we've shared, almost too perfect to ever last. And when I'm lying here and you're holding me, I know the fear will pass. Hold me," he places a gentle kiss to the other male's cheek.
He snuggles in a bit more, before whispering softly, "Hold me in your arms cause I'm falling."
The End.
