Do any of those things really matter, or change the plot of hitchhiker's guide? what color of hair, or the shape of the space ship doesn't change what is actually going on in the plot. And the plot in the book is very strange and hard to recount without mixing up events, making a movie would be difficult without changing a few things around. oh, and douglas adams wrote the script. i thougeht it was an enjoyable movie overall. Movies are never exactly like the books, so take them with a grain of salt and stop bitching.

Actually, it does matter. Luckily, in this country we are allowed (for the moment) to express ourselves in most any medium. Now, as for star wars...

Besides, most movies nowadays rely on vulgarity and sex to sell themselves. It is quite refreshing to see one with a plot...

You are right the shape of the space ship and the color of one of the main character’s hair aren’t crucial to the plot. They are however great examples that simply didn’t need to be made. They did however not rely on those simple changes alone to fuck up the plot, they did a great job of taking real scenes that were good in the book and make them mediocre such as the scene in the space ship when they were about to be jettisoned into space. You might want to go though and read the book if only that scene to see what I mean. Then they had the bright idea to completely change the last part of the movie (different plot) to include a gun that changes points of view? I see where they were going with that it just wasn’t any good or in a direction that the book went in. Also I don’t think that too many people care that you “thougeht”.
