Finished reading Just William's-Luck this morning, and was kind of baffled at the fact that William wore garters for his socks. It was a plot detail that he had used his garter as a catapult, and his dad complained about how messy his socks looked when he didn't wear the garters.  I've seen and completely understand the use of garters for men, ( Read more... )
