I've just booked another trip to England. It's been my yearly me-time these past four or five years, and I really do need some time on my own. Four days in London, and seven i Oxford, August 26 until September 6. Yet another authors' conference, two at the same time that week-end, both in Oxford, so I'll try to attend something at both of them.. But at the moment I'm most of all looking forward to staying at a hotel in London for 4 nights! Somewhere in Clerkenwell, so I'm planning on visiting Charterhouse, and maybe the Barbican. Is there something on that I shouldn't miss? Maybe
grondfic have a play to recommend? I'm not going to make any elaborate plans, just walk around, and eat well, and do whatever seems like fun.
The couple of weeks have been full of football watching with dad. He really enjoys the World Cup, and today Sweden has our match of destiny against Mexico. We come prepared: Swedish flags everywhere in front of the telly!!
Dad is soldiering on really well. It helps that we have some wonderful care givers that he likes. They come practically everyday and it does make a difference. We still need more hours, and my sister and I work 200% but dad is so cute and happy that somehow we survive.
So off to watch the match, Go Sweden!!! (we're crap, but there is a SMALL chance that we win!!!)
