(no subject)
In Gothenburg since yesterday afternoon. Slightly colder but no snow yet.
The orthopedic insoles thing went really well. The doctor was excellent, polite and competent. He checked out my foot and didn't think it was Morton's after all, but a stress fracture. Really nothing to do but to keep the weight off the foot, use the new insoles and try to do stretch exercises with my feet and toes. great news.
My brother's birthday today, and had a quick glass of wine with him& his wife at Bazaar tonight. Before that I had managed to have coffee at two of my favourite places, meet up with K & A, and catch up on local news. Also walked up and down Vasagatan, watched the sun shine over Järntoget and just fell in love with my city all over again.
My sister-in-law had knitted a completely crazy-coloured-but-just-right-for-him scarf for my brother, in a strong pink and green dog-tooth pattern. I loved it on him.

Also made it to the fishmonger on the local square, where a man wearing a kippah was buying salmon, and being very talkative and Gothenburg-ish. My favourite fish-lady was working, and I got some excellent prawns for dinner.
