It was my first car accident where I was the driver - and only the 2nd accident I can recall being in. My mom's car got rear ended when I was like 13 maybe? I'm just glad it wasn't worse and that my kid took it all in stride!

Glad you are ok! $300 for a carseat? WHY???? Geez, anything to gouge consumers these days! That is ridiculous!

Cute twins! How will their parents be able to leave them for a year?! Talk about dedicated service....their love for their country.

Carseat: We bought it when I still had the Hyundai Accent because I was trying to make up for the lack of car safety with carseat safety. Normal seats are plastic, but this one weighs 23 lbs and has a steel frame. It's a BEAST! It's good from 8 lbs to 80 lbs too so it'll last her entire car-seatable life which is nice.

Twins: It sort of blows my mind, because it's not something I think I could do. To each their own, I suppose.
