the last hurrah of winter (clothes)

winter may be just starting to appear every few days here; however, i will be wrapping up my shopping for the season in the next few weeks.  unfortunately, it's just not cold here very long so amassing any more cold weather clothing would be excess.  i've sold/donated a lot of stuff so i am definitely ending the season with less than i started.  gaining weight and then loosing it is expensive!  (more on that at another time)  here are the last things on my wishlist to end the season with.

the skirt that i was going to wear to andy's birthday lunch came and was really heavy, so i returned it.  my two corduroy skirts are too big.  i have one other winter skirt left, the one i purchased last year at talbots (this was tight last year, and high-waisted - now it sits lower and is comfortable)  and if i decide to go with it i'll need to figure out how to dress it down for daytime.  all of my other skirts are spring/summer weight/color/materials.  meanwhile, stores are focusing on either high-waisted skirts (i have no waist), pencil skirts (again, no waist and i carry my weight in the front, these don't look right on me), or that weird, mid calf length (unflattering).  i found these two at lands end canvas, so i hope they will work for me.

love the j.crew pjs (hooray long length!) and i plan to get the top monogrammed in pink.  the one sweater and a bow blouse (my third, seems like enough of the trend) round out the list (and be worn a little longer than a thicker fabric in either).
