Well, it was just this sort of weather that disappointed Mei. As much as she understood that plants needed the water, she couldn't help but resent how drastically it cut into her frolicking-barefoot-in-the-grass time. Paige looked over at Jacob, and smiled, only slightly sheepish at having been caught spying on children. "Of course I don't mind," she said, and scooted over to give him room. "How're you?" she asked politely. "Holding up okay in all the rain? I'm starting to feel almost wilted." She closed her book absentmindedly, and then felt slightly embarassed at having it made it so obvious she was NOT studying
