"Become a different person" is a little strong, maybe. I just meant that I have to act outside of my comfort zone; and based on what missionaries have told me, that's true of everyone who does this. Do you think that's unhealthy?

You're right that not all missionaries ask for money. Some are called to wait on God and He supplies their needs directly, and that's a beautiful thing. But He calls some to aggressively raise funds for His work, because He is the Lord of all the earth, and any treasure someone else gives us is really His gift to us. It would be a weak and helpless God who *couldn't* use His own creation to bless His people.
So I agree with you that God supplies all our needs, but I think that sometimes- most of the time- He uses His people to do so.
P.S. - Check out 2 Corinthians 8. It's a support letter straight from the pages of Scripture itself!

So I agree with you that God supplies all our needs, but I think that sometimes- most of the time- He uses His people to do so.
