I thought I'd feel like an arrogant jerk asking people for money so I can fund what an atheist acquaintance of mine called "nothing but a sham for a summer vacation in Bolivia."
But it's actually really humbling to admit you can't do God's work yourself, that you need other people's spiritual and physical support. And it's even more humbling to admit that sometimes you have to become a different person than you are, and say things you'd never normally say, even among close friends, in order to get that help.
It's humbling to have to act like a jerk for the sake of the Kingdom.
