Well, meme, it's been fun. Not sure what I'll do now :P
Oh by the way, they finally decided to send that one patient to a SNF. It was a different doctor on the team who made that decision. I saw the orders in her chart today and was like THANK FUCKING GOD. I treated her today and she couldn't even follow simple commands to brush her teeth. I had to tell her what to do constantly. She kept holding the toothbrush and just looking at it, and then started talking about something random about her father or some lady who was in her room or just, whatever...still completely disoriented and confused. At one point she tried to scratch her back with the toothbrush (after putting toothpaste on it). It took about 15 minutes for her to finally put the damn thing in her mouth. Then she kept wiping her mouth with the washcloth I gave her after I repeatedly said, "Wipe your eyes now. Wipe your eyes now" while POINTING TO and TAPPING near her eyes. I eventually had to physically move her hand to her eyes. Jesus christ, I can't believe that idiot fucking doctor thought she was OK to go home!! Just...WTF.
Anyway, at least the other doctors who are treating her actually have common sense.
