SUMMARY: A THOUGHT PROCESS IN MY HEAD ON HOW ARIZONA AND CALLIE’S FIRST CHRISTMAS SEASON WITH SOFIA WOULD GO WITHOUT MARK AND LEXIE.

A/N SORRY EVERYONE, I WANTED TO PLACE THIS STORY HERE BEFORE CHRISTMAS BUT MOTHER NATURE HAD OTHER IDEAS. I JUST ARRIVED HOME YESTERDAY FROM MY CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY. HERE IS THE SECOND CHAPTER AND I HOPE YOU ENJOY.  HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!!!

I walk in the front door as I hear some soft music playing. I hang up my coat and purse on the coat rack and take off my boots as I slip on my non skid slippers as I walk toward the music. Arriving at the living room area I gasp out loud to myself as I see that my daughter is sound asleep just like her Uncle Alex as she is wrapped up in his arms holding on to her favorite stuffed animal in one hand and her favorite blanket in the other. I listen at the two of them snore for a moment as I smile at the sound that they are making together then I gently lay the nap blanket over both of them but before I do that I take a picture on my cell phone of the two of them all snuggled together on the recliner as I send it to Calliope’s phone with the caption “Look what I found when I arrived home. Who’s got who wrapped around her little finger now? Love you and hurry home…A”.  I leave the living room area as not to disturb them and make my way to our office. I place my wife’s Christmas gift in the safe and then I sit at the desk to check emails and begin to work on next month’s surgery schedule. After about an hour I hear the soft cry of my daughter as her Uncle Alex is trying to comfort her as I startle the two of them when I walk back into the living room. Alex says “Jesus Arizona” as Sofia yells “Mama, Mama” as her arms start flailing towards me as I take her out of Alex’s arms and say “Yes baby girl, mama is here…mama is always here”. I kiss her head as my hand roams all over her upper torso checking for a fever that is when Alex says “I gave her some Tylenol for the fever and some Pedialyte so she would not dehydrate. Then she seemed to like the soft music because she began snuggling in my arms as I rocked her to sleep”. Then I say “And you too I see” as we smile at each other.

Callie comes home a few hours later as I hear Sofia scream from her high chair “Mommy, mommy”. I turn to see my wife rush to our daughter’s side as she kisses her forehead and say to Alex and me “Is she alright? She seems alright, Arizona…Is she alright Alex”? Alex is helping feed Sofia her dinner when he says to my wife “Yea, I think she’ll be ok. She was complaining of her head hurting earlier but the Tylenol seemed to help with that. Then she said her mouth hurt a little so I check her teeth and it seems that little Miss Sofia here may be getting her big girl back teeth in. When I looked in her mouth I could see her back teeth coming in so I think that is where the fever came from but now she is feeling much better. She eating on her own and drinking plenty of fluids. Just keep an eye on her tonight and if anything changes then I would probably take her into the hospital but for now I think she is fine”. Alex continues to focus on our daughter as I clear my throat and he looks up at me and then says “What am I saying and why am I telling you both this stuff. You both are her mothers and are doctors…sorry about the rhetoric schpiel…that’s for non medical parents”. We all laugh at Alex’s comment as my wife says “Well then what do you say that we have pizza for dinner tonight…Alex you are staying” as our daughter squeals with delight as she says “Pizza…pizza…Uncle Alex staying for pizza…pizza” as Alex says “Well how can I refuse an offer like that especially when it comes from my favorite girl in the whole wide world” as he nuzzles his face into Sofia’s neck kissing her and making her scream with delight as she grabs the sides of Alex’s face and says “Stop Uncle Alex, your beard…it’s scratchy like daddy’s…stop or you will make me pee my pants”. Calliope and I stand next to each other as we are frozen and speechless as we hear those words come out of our daughter’s mouth. Alex does not hear what Sofia says as he looks at the two of us and asks “What”? Calliope excuses herself to say “I’ll order the pizzas and beer and be right back” as she walks away from me and I look at Alex and say “Will you excuse me please” as I walk straight into the downstairs bathroom and begin to cry.

DECEMBER 24, 2012…CHRISTMAS EVE

I open my right eye as I can see that is still very early in the morning because the sun or daylight has not yet arrived. Before I even move about I can hear water running or at least it sounds like water. Then like a flash of light I now see our daughter standing in front of me beside our bed as she stares into my open right eye. Our daughter Sofia places her cold wet hands on my cheeks as she softly whispers to me “Mama, are you awake…mama” as she gently slaps her still cold wet hands on my face and whispers again “Mama” and then continues “Mama, I peed in the big girl potty and not in my diaper”. I then realize what Sofia was saying to me as I open both of my eyes and say to her “You did big girl” as I sit up in bed and grab my crutches and say “Show mama what a big girl you are” as we both make our way into the bathroom and Sofia proudly boasts “See mama, I am a big girl” as I sit on the toilet seat and say “You are a big girl”. I place a new diaper on Sofia as I put her in our bed as she snuggles up to her mommy and I make my way back into the bathroom and clean up Sofia’s potty chair. When I come back to bed both of my girls are just snoring away as I squeeze back into bed and snuggle up to my two girls and fall back to sleep.

I open my right eye again, feeling like it’s déjà vu all over again, but then I feel a pair of warm hands this time on my face as Sofia brushes the hair back as she whispers “Mama, wake up…wake up” as I smell coffee brewing. As my daughter gives me a kiss and says “Mommy and I making you breakfast. Mommy told me I could come in a wake you up now. We are having your favorite, chocolate chip waffles, and my favorite, banana pancakes, for breakfast this morning. Mommy says it is Christmas Eve today and grandma and grandpa along with my abuelos are coming to our home for Christmas. Mama, are you awake” as I lie very still and feel Sofia climb up the side of the bed and make her way up to lie on me and that is when I playfully grab on to her and begin tickling her as we both laugh out loud. With Sofia screaming “Stop mama, please stop or you will make me pee my pants” as I kiss her and we giggle together. The bedroom door flies open as Callie says “Why do I miss out on all the fun” as she hops into our bed and begins to tickle both me and Sofia as we both return the favor.

The three of us are sitting having breakfast together when I ask Sofia “Baby girl, did you tell mommy what you did this morning all by yourself”? With banana pancakes and syrup covering her face and mouth our daughter screams out loud “Mommy, mommy I peed in the potty all by myself” as my wife says “You did…well what a big girl you are. Now let’s get you cleaned up and changed so we can go and pick up your grandparents from the airport today and maybe you can show me how you went to the potty all by yourself again, what do you say my big girl”? Sofia’s arms spring up automatically as my wife extracts her from her chair and makes her way to the bathroom to give our daughter a bath before they leave for the airport. I begin to clean up the dishes from the kitchen table as the doorbell rings. I open the door to find Alex on our doorstep. I ask him to come in but he says “I’m on my way to the hospital but I wanted to stop by and drop off my presents to you and Callie and to Sofia. Since I’m working into Christmas morning I thought I would bring these by this morning on my way in”. I give Alex a hug and a kiss on the cheek as I say “Thank you” to him for the gifts and then I ask him “Why don’t you come over tomorrow morning after your shift and have breakfast with us and watch Sofia and the rest of us open gifts. My parents and Callie’s parents will be here later this morning as she is getting Sofia ready to go pick them all up at the airport”. Just as I finish my last sentence to Alex, Sofia comes running out of her room as she hollers for her Uncle Alex and he catches her mid stride and pulls her into his arms. Then he says to her “Well good morning there pretty girl and how are you this morning”? Sofia kisses her Uncle Alex on the cheek as she notices that it is no longer scratchy like her daddy’s but smooth and soft as her hands slide down his face and she says “I am fine Uncle Alex and guess what I did this morning”? Alex grins at his goddaughter as he says “And what would that be baby girl”? Sofia matches her Uncle Alex’s grin from ear to ear as she tells him proudly “I peed in the potty all by myself” and Alex says “That’s my girl…I knew you could do it. I am so proud of you, Sofia” as Alex’s pager goes off he places our daughter back on solid ground as he kneels down to her level and kisses her cheek as he says to her “Well baby girl, duty calls and I need to get to work”. Before he rises to his feet our daughter grabs a hold of his coat collar and says “Will I see you tomorrow on Christmas Day”? Alex kisses her nose and says with the biggest smile on his face “You bet Sof, I love you and I wouldn’t miss it for the world. You tell your grandparents that I say hello and I see all you ladies tomorrow morning”. One more “I love you” from our daughter to her favorite uncle and we say goodbye to Alex until tomorrow.

The doorbell rings again as my wife answers to door and finds a very handsome gentleman standing at the door. As they exchange a few words my wife closes the door and says to me “That was Sean and he will be our limo driver today”. I am placing our daughter’s boots on her when my wife asks me again for the fifth time this morning “Arizona, are you sure you don’t want to come with us to pick up our parents”? I place Sofia’s coat over her body and sweetly as I can say to my wife again “Baby, no I am just not ready yet”. My wife picks up our daughter in her arms as she kisses me deeply and says “Well then we’ll be back as soon as we can. I love you” then she kisses me again and so does our daughter as Sofia says “I love you, mama and we will be back soon”. I kiss both my girls again as I walk out with them onto the front porch and stand there and wave goodbye to them until they are out of sight. Then I walk back into the house as I find my phone and send a quick text to my father and Callie’s father saying that Callie and Sofia are on their way to the airport. Within seconds I receive a text from both gentlemen saying that their planes are about to land.

I sit at the desk in our office checking my emails and Skype messages as I see that I have missed one from Teddy. I open the message as I see her on the video screen as she says “Hello Arizona, Callie and Sofia, boy I sure do miss all of you. You all must be getting ready for Christmas so I’ll just leave this video for you all to watch later. Well I’m sorry to say that I won’t make it to Seattle for Christmas as you can see. I am in Dusseldorf Germany supervising the Army hospital here. I did receive an invitation from Meredith and Derek for their New Year’s Eve party and I am trying my hardest to be there. But enough about me, how are you all doing? How’s your PT going, Arizona? Have you talked with Owen about when you will return to work? How are Owen and Christina? I know this holiday season is going to be hard on all of you but let me know if there is anything I can do for any of you. I love you all so much and miss the hell out of my friend. Give Sofia and Callie a hug and a kiss from me. I love you, Arizona and I hope you and your girls all have a very Merry Christmas. I’ll talk to you soon”.  I hit the reply button and turn the overhead camera onto me as I begin to send Teddy a message. Teddy and I have been sending each other messages this way since I have been homebound from the plane crash. At first it was Callie that was keeping Teddy informed of all the details of my progress and of my venture into my dark place I chose when Callie and Alex first cut off my leg. But now time has healed my own wounds and my sanity as I have begun to tell my friend about my road to recovery. I look into the Skype camera as I begin to say “Hey there Teddy, I am sorry to hear that you won’t make it here by Christmas but we will all video tape Christmas morning for you. Not sure about the time difference between Seattle and Germany cause it could already be Christmas where you are and if it is well then Merry Christmas my friend. To answer your questions, yes me and my girls will be going to Meredith and Derek’s for New Year’s Eve. PT is going very well as David has fitted me so that I can wear my boots and play in the snow with Sofia. I talked with Owen this week and I am going back to work on the third of January but I won’t be back as head of Pediatrics until the end of May. The new Peds guy’s contract won’t be up until then. Owen and Christina are doing alright. Christina was at Mayo for a while but has since come back to SGMW. Legal things about the plane crash are going slow as now our lawyers are going after not only the airplane company and its manufacturers but they are going after Owen and the hospital for negligence. We have a court hearing next month according to Calliope and I have to be present for that since I have not been present for any of the meetings so far. But enough about all of that as we will tell you everything when we see you next week. Well Callie and Sofia have left this morning to go and pick up our parents from the airport as Callie’s dad sent a car to the house so Callie would not have to drive. I still cannot bring myself to drive to the airport or even think about getting on a plane yet. So I will bid you a goodbye and tell Callie about you video message as I know her and Sofia will want to watch it because I know that my wife misses you and daughter miss her Aunt Teddy so much as so do I. We love you and miss you too and hope you too have a very Merry Christmas. I love you too, my friend. Stay safe and see you soon”.

Just as I have finish the Pediatric schedule for the month of January 2013 and email it to everyone, I hear people talking outside. I close the computer down and make my way out of the office and into the foyer of our home just in time to see all the people talking at once. My parents and Callie’s parents have not seen me in person since they left Seattle in June so they have yet to see me with my prosthesis. I am standing in the foyer with my cane in hand as I steady myself upright. My mother and Callie’s mother were the first in the door behind my wife as they both without any hesitation or reservation come up to me to hug and kiss me hello. Then Callie’s dad was next as he holds me tight in his embrace for a moment or two as he whispers in my ear “It is so great to see you Arizona”. Then my dad while holding our daughter walks up to me as Sofia says to him “See grandpa, mama is just fine and now she is a bionic woman”. My father says to our daughter “She is fine, baby girl and yes she is a bionic woman but she is also a Robbins just like you and we Robbins are a strong and tough breed…isn’t that right baby girl”. My father wraps me up in his arms along with our daughter as Sofia and I both say together “Yes we are” but I know that my father’s sentiment was actually meant for me. My father places Sofia safely on the floor as she grabs a hold of both of her grandmother’s hands and tell both sets of her grandparents “Please follow me and I will show you all to your rooms” as Carlos says “Lead the way my lady”. Once everyone leaves the room and only my wife is in front of me I say to her “Hey” as she replies “Hey you” and gathers me up in her arms and kisses me softly while holding me in place. I place a stray lock of her hair behind her ear that has slipped out as I place my arms around her neck and say “I love you, you know” as my wife’s face shows me that mischievous grin of hers that I love so well as she says “So when are you going to show me how much you love me with both sets of parents here now” as I too show her my mischievous grin and say “Oh baby, I have my ways” as I kiss her very, very deeply.

DECEMBER 25, 2012…CHRISTMAS DAY

I lay in my wife’s arms as she is spooning me from behind as I hear tiny little footsteps running down the hall and to our bedroom door. A soft knock precedes our daughter’s beautiful voice asking me “Mama, you awake...Santa came last night and left us some presents but Grandma Barbara says we have to wait for you and mommy to wake up. Mama, are you and mommy awake yet”? I nudge my wife so she can hear our daughter as I say softly “Baby girl, why don’t you let your grandmother give you some juice and mommy and I will be out of our bedroom soon. I love you sweet baby girl and Merry Christmas”. I hear our daughter walk away for our bedroom door as I feel my wife come to life as she begins to move her hands about my body. Then without warning Sofia is back on the other side of our bedroom door as she says “Mama, I love you and mommy too and Merry Christmas to you both” as my wife and I begin to chuckle a bit. I then feel my wife’s hand venture a little southward as I say “Baby, it’s Christmas morning and we need to be out there with our daughter” but before I finish my sentence my wife has slid her body onto mine as she kisses me passionately and then says “But I want to give you your Christmas present” as she inhales my breast with her very skilled mouth and palms the other one. Trying to keep my mind on our daughter and her first Christmas without her father I say to my wife “You gave me your Christmas present last night if I recall as I gave you my Christmas present too…three different times. But today is not about us it is about that little girl in the other room that is waiting on her mama’s to share her first Christmas with her without her father”. I feel my wife stop her advances abruptly as she pokes her head out from under the blankets to say “You’re right baby, I guess I was just trying to push that thought out of my mind today. I love you, now let’s get dressed and have a happy Christmas morning”. My wife slaps me on my ass as she jumps out of bed and into the shower as we both get dressed and face our first Christmas morning together as a family…without Mark.

After all the gift wrapping paper is strewn across the living room floor and all the toys and presents have been opened, I am standing at the kitchen table watching my wife and Alex play the new video game that my parents got her today. I look across the room to find my mother along with Calliope’s parents helping Sofia put together all of her Christmas presents that need assembly as I smile. My father joins me at the kitchen table and he takes a seat as he asks me to do the same. Then my father’s worried face says it all as he says “So baby girl, how are you really doing? And do not say that you are fine because I have talked to your mother beforehand on our flight here and she says otherwise”. I see the concern written on my father’s face as I take his hands in mine and say “Daddy, it was hard in the beginning. Losing my leg was so scary at first and I was so bitter and resentful of Callie and Alex taking my leg that I went to a very dark place and I never thought I would ever come out of it. I was so mean and hateful to my wife that at one point I just wished she and Sofia would leave me so I would not have to see them everyday. Daddy, I never thought I could ever be like that or feel that way towards anyone but I was and I took it out on Calliope”. My father scoots his chair closer to me as he envelopes me in his arms as he says “Callie loves you and that little girl in there loves you so much that I believe she thinks you can do anything. All that little girl talked about on the ride here from the airport was about her mama and how much she loves her mama. So you showed Callie your dark side. Callie does not seem like the kind of person who is afraid of the dark”. My father kisses my temple as I smile and kiss his cheek as I say “Thanks Dad” as he smiles back at me and says “Now let’s get this mess cleaned up so we can enjoy the rest of this day with our families”.

With my wife and her mother along with my mother in the kitchen cooking Christmas dinner, my father and Callie’s father along with Alex are outside on the deck enjoying a Christmas cigar as my father-in-law Carlos calls it. Sofia is watching them from the door leading outside as she has her face pressed up against the door as I walk out of the hallway bathroom. I kneel down slightly behind my daughter as I too look outside to see what she is looking at when I say “Whatcha doing there, little munchkin”? Sofia says to me without even turning around “Why does Grandpa Daniel and Grandpa Carlos and Uncle Alex smell after they come back in from outside”? I sit on the floor beside my baby girl as I place her in my lap and say “Some people like your grandpa’s and your Uncle Alex enjoy having a cigar to calm them down”. Sofia looks up at me with those beautiful brown eyes that are her mother’s and says “Like you mama when you used to smoke”? I smile as she must have heard my wife say something to the effect on when I used to smoke. Then I say to Sofia “Yea just like when I used to smoke. But I quit smoking when you came along because you now calm my nerves baby girl”. Sofia puts her arms around my neck as she says “I love you, mama” and I tell her “I love you too, Sof” as we rub our noses back and forth and I kiss her forehead and ask her “Hey Sof, you want to help me set the table for dinner”? My baby girl does not even answer me as she races out of my arms and heads towards the dining room.

We are all sitting at the dining room table finishing our Christmas dinner and talking when Lucia asks my wife and I a question “Calliope and Arizona would it be alright if your fathers and Barbara and I take our little Miss Sofia out to the movie theater tonight. We want you two to have some time alone on this gorgeous Christmas night”? My wife and I look at each other as my wife says “Mother, you never have to ask us for permission to take our daughter anywhere. So yes you all may take Sofia out to the movies but please no sweets. My wife and I think she has had enough for today”. Then as we all rise from our seats to clean off the table, Alex takes his plate and wine glass into the kitchen as he says “Well thank you all for a lovely day, a lovely meal and letting me spend Christmas with Sofia and all of you”. Alex goes back out to the living room as he gathers up our daughter in his arms and says “Miss Sofia, thank you for sharing your Christmas day with me and have a great time at the movies tonight. I love you, sweet pea and I’ll see you soon”. Sofia puts her arms around Alex’s neck and squeezes him tight as she kisses his cheek and says “I love you, Uncle Alex and I will see you soon”. Alex says goodnight to everyone and makes his way out the door. Then as my wife and I turn around both sets of our parents and our daughter all have their coats on as they too are leaving us alone for a few hours. With kisses and hugs exchanged between all as we hear our daughter promise her mommy and me that she will be good for her grandparents, they are out the door in a flash.

My wife and I stand in the middle of the foyer and stare at each other. Then my wife saunters up to me as she swallows me up in her arms and places the sweetest kiss on my lips. She then proceeds to tell me of a few ideas she has that we could do for the next several hours before our family returns home. Then when I do not say anything to her about her ideas she then kisses me deeply as she sways my body with her back and forth across the living room area and into our bedroom. Then when I still do not answer her my wife she does the only thing that she knows to do with me to make me want her even more. First she begins to press her front up against mine as she pins me against the back of our bedroom door. Then she kisses me deeply and passionately again as she unbuttons my blouse. Then opening my blouse and letting it slide off my shoulders and onto the floor. She then kisses my neck as she sucks and kisses my jaw line. Then she finds my sweet spot that spot right behind my left ear as she licks my pale skin and then kisses it quickly as she continues to suck on that little patch of skin. While she is doing all that over and over again I begin to say her name in a whisper as she unzips my jeans and slides them over my hips and onto the floor with my blouse as she takes off my prosthesis in the process. Then her final move is to unhook the front of my bra and palm my breasts as my bra too slides off my shoulders and onto the floor below all the while my wife kisses me again as she inhales my tongue. Then as she has me right where she wants me, my wife backs away from my mostly naked body and makes me watch her undress in front of me. Slowly and ever so painfully I stand there and watch my Calliope unzip the back of her dress as she gradually lets the spaghetti straps that are holding the dress onto her body fall off her shoulders but then my wife bends forward ever so slightly as the clinging dress she has been wearing all day is now pooling at her feet and my wife is standing before me naked as the day she was born. All day my wife has been going commando under her dress she was wearing and I had no idea. Licking my lips with anticipation of her next move my wife walks back up to me and without saying a word she kisses me with all the passion she has as she rips off my lace panties off my body in one swift tug.

My Calliope kneels in front of me as I try to balance myself against the door. My wife kisses my stomach and plunges her tongue in to my belly button as this is just driving me wild as her hands move up my body and she again palms both of my breasts. Just as I feel my wife kiss the hairline below my stomach I gasp a breath of air as I whisper “Calliope, please take me to bed”. My wife slowly rises to her feet as she picks me up off the floor and I wrap my right leg around her waist as she leads us to our bed. Calliope lays me on my back as she maneuvers her body on top of mine and settles herself between my legs as she hovers her upper body over mine. My wife playfully kiss my lips again as she tell me she loves me and I place both of my hands on her cheeks and tell her I love her too as I cover her lips with mine and our tongues begin to dance around each other. For the next several hours my wife and I enjoy to pleasure and satisfaction of bringing each other to many orgasms over and over again. Now my Calliope has her head lying on my chest as the only sound in our bedroom is her saying to me “Baby I can hear your heart beating in your chest” as I just say “Hmmm” to her comment as I run my hands throughout her curly hair. Then the next sound I hear is my wife as she begins to cry softly as she says “I almost lost you and now I lie hear on your chest and I can hear your heartbeat. I love you so much Arizona and I almost lost you”. I begin to say back to my wife as I lift her head from my chest and wipe away her tears “I love you too so much baby and next week when we are at Meredith and Derek’s New Year’s Eve party and at the stroke of midnight when we are kissing each other, we are going to put every thought and every memory that has happened to us in 2012 behind us and celebrate the coming of the new year. We will never forget what happened in 2012 to us, to Sofia and to Mark and Lexie but we are no longer going to dwell on the sad parts of our life anymore because we have a beautiful daughter to think about and a future with each other that someday will include other children. So promise me Calliope right here and right now that we will look forward to spending the rest of our lives together as we raise a beautiful daughter and no more looking back…only looking forward”.

My wife says without any hesitation whatsoever “I promise you Arizona my love to only look to our future from this day forward. I promise you that we will raise our daughter Sofia together and someday welcome more children for us to raise together. I love you with all my heart and will never stop loving you for the rest of my life”. My wife kisses me passionately as I kiss her back with everything that I am. Then without warning my wife jumps out of my arms and off our bed to say “Oh crap…oh shit I almost forgot” as she races out of our bedroom only to come back a few seconds later with a wrapped present in her hand. My wife looks at me as she sees a gift wrapped present sitting on my bare chest as she says “You too” as I shake my head yes as I say “I’ve had it all day just waiting for the perfect time to give this to you…and now’s the time”. Calliope climbs back into bed as she finds her perfect spot again between my legs as she rests her upper body on mine and we open each other’s gifts. I am completely blown away by the sight of the birthstone ring set in silver platinum with Sofia’s birthstone of aquamarine in the middle and my wife’s and my birthstones of peridot on both sides of Sofia’s stone. My wife squeals for joy as she opens up her diamond earrings and bracelet that I have given her for Christmas as she peppers my face with kisses and tell me she loves me. Once the excitement calms down between the two of us, my wife graciously places my new ring on my third finger of my right hand as I place the diamond bracelet around her right wrist and she takes out the earrings she has had on today from her ears and replaces them with her new diamond earrings as she happily models them for me in all of her naked glory. Then as we look into each others eyes showing each other all the love we have for one another my wife finds comfort with her head lying back down on my chest we hold each other until we both follow fall asleep in each others arms.

A little while later…Sofia along with both sets of her grandparents make there way home as a sleepy Miss Sofia has fallen asleep on her Grandpa Daniel’s shoulder. With a very soft light glowing from our bedroom and the only noise coming from our bedroom is the soft but very audible snore of one Calliope Robbins Torres as she is still resting her hear on my chest. Our parents along with our sleeping daughter open our bedroom door to find both of their daughters fast asleep as Lucia says “Now that is love” and my mother saying “True Love” as my father finally says “She’s her lobster” as he gets some frightening looks from the other three parents as Carlos closes our door quietly. Both of our mothers place our daughter in her bed as all four grandparents kiss her goodnight and make their way to their rooms as Carlos says “And to all a good night”.

A/N I just want to thank everyone personally who takes the time out of your busy day to reads my stories. I enjoy writing them so much and look forward to continue writing about Callie and Arizona in 2013. The reference that I make at the end of this story when Daniel says “She’s her lobster” is a reference to a storyline from the TV show “Friends”. I do not own any rights to the show “Friends” just borrowing that line. The character of Phoebe, played by Lisa Kudrow, says that line when the characters of Ross and Rachel, played by David Schwimmer and Jennifer Aniston, get back together on the show and the reference is made because, according to Phoebe, when lobsters fall in love they mate for life. That is how I see Callie and Arizona, they too mate for life.
