Summary: This thought process is in my head. These chapters are just my take on the characters and how their lives have turned out twenty-five years into the future.

A/N As this will be the first chapter of many chapters to come about the writings from the family members for the book that has been referred in previous chapters. For “Present Day” Chapters the font will be Comic Sans MS and for the writing of their “love story” the font will be Goudy Old Style Italics.
Chapter Seventy Four
With the soft musical sounds of The Dixie Chicks singing one of their most beautiful songs from the Wide Open Spaces CD as the air outside begins to fill with the words from the song “I’ll Take Care Of You”, the wedding of Theodora and Addison begins. Archer Montgomery escorts his mother Bizzy as she escorts her wife Susan and the Captain Robert Montgomery walks behind them as they are the first group of people to walk from inside the house down the aisle to their respective seats in the front row of chairs on the left side of the section of chairs that is Addison’s side. Then Alexander escorts his momma’s as they link their arms inside his and he walks them down the aisle. He first walks his mami to her side of the altar so she may represent being Addison’s maid of honor as she places a kiss on his cheek and tells him that she loves him as he tells her the same. Then he escorts his momma to her side of the altar so she may represent being Teddy’s maid of honor as she places a kiss on his lips as she tells him that she loves him as he tells her the same. Then Alexander takes a few steps off to the left side to stand and wait for the remaining wedding party.
The wedding guests begin to stand as Timothy and Theodore escort their Aunt Teddy down the aisle. Once at the altar, they place a kiss on each of her cheeks and tell her they love her as she tells them she loves them too. Then the two men make their way to the left side of the altar to stand next to their younger brother Alexander as they wait for their Aunt Addison to walk down the aisle to her bride. With the wedding guests still standing as the final chorus of the song “I’ll Take Care Of You” is coming through the speakers of the audio system, Bailey and Addie escort their Aunt Addison from the house and down the aisle. Teddy begins to stumble at the altar as I hold her up straight and whisper to her “You alright, Teds” as she says “Yes, I just never thought she could possibly look any more beautiful than she always does but look at her Arizona, she is positively lovely”. When Addison, Bailey and Addie arrive at the altar for Addison to face her bride for the first time, Addison begins to tear up as she sees her bride for the first time too. Bailey and Addie take the bottom of Addison’s veil and place it behind her head as they both give their Aunt Addison a kiss on the cheek as she tells our two daughters that she loves them and Bailey says “We love you too and you both so much” as she turns her comments towards their Aunt Teddy. Then Addison says “Thank you both for doing this for me” then our daughter Addie says “It has been our pleasure Aunt Addison”. Then our two daughters stand behind their aunt’s as they are accompanied by their three brothers as the five of our children stand together behind the brides-to-be and between my wife and me.
Addison turns to place her hands inside Teddy’s as the minister begins the ceremony. The minister’s first question is “Who gives this woman to this woman” as he motions his head from Teddy to Addison and then says again “And this woman to this woman” as he nods his head from Addison back to Teddy as my wife and I and our five children say proudly together “We do”. Then our children take their seats next to my mother as the minister continues with the wedding. After prayers have been said, the unity candle has been lit, a moment of silence has been recognized by the by the two women and everyone else in the wedding party as well as all of the wedding guests in remembrance of Teddy’s parents and sister that were killed in a car accident when she was in Iraq so…so many years ago to finally the vows given by each woman professing their undying love to the other. Then with the blessing and approval given by the minster and by the Great State of Washington and from everyone attending this wedding, the minister finally says “You may now kiss your bride” and kiss they did…with the tears flowing down their cheeks…they kissed again and again as everyone attending this wedding rise from their seats to applaud this splendid occasion.
Then when all the kissing is complete, Teddy wraps her arm around her new bride as the two of them walk back down the aisle together as wife and wife and back into their home. Then I hold out my arm for my wife to enclose her arm in mine as we both walk down the aisle and back into our friend’s home. Then we are followed by our son Theodore as he escorts his sister Addie, then our son Timothy escorts his sister Bailey and our son Alexander escorts his Grandma Barbara as they are all followed by Addison’s three parents and her brother. Everyone but Addison’s three parents are in the receiving line as we are mingling with the wedding guests as Addison’s parents make their way to the reception tent for some alcoholic beverages and appetizers. This is where all the wedding guests are directed to after giving the brides and the wedding party their best wishes and congratulations.
While Addison and Teddy and the wedding party are receiving guests, Karev, George and Samuel are helping the rental company folks gather up the chairs from the back yard as they place a large wooden dance floor down on the grass for the entertainment later after the reception dinner is served along with some tables and chairs around the dance floor. After the receiving line is finished, the two photographers and Francesca began setting up for wedding pictures. Probably about seventy-five percent of the pictures were done professionally but the there were quite a few that are to be comical. With Teddy and Addison’s approval, my wife and I along with our children and their spouses and significant others have some fun pictures taken. There were some group wedding photos, some individual photos and some sexy photos. One comedic photo taken is of our five children and their significant others whereas Elizabeth was on Timothy’s shoulders, Bailey was on Samuel’s shoulders, Matilda was on Theodore’s shoulders, Addie was on Francesca’s shoulders and Katie was on Alexander’s shoulders. Then there were other pictures showing Calliope pointing to her new gold watch that was given to her by Addison as a thank you gift for being her maid of honor as Addison is using a handkerchief to wipe the sweat from her forehead as her face shows signs of nervousness. Pretty much the same concept was taken in the picture of Teddy and me as I too was pointing to the new silver watch that Teddy gave me as a gift for being her maid of honor but instead of Teddy wiping beads of sweat from her forehead and having a nervous looking face, she was lying on her back in the front yard as if she had passed out.
With all the photos taken, the wedding party begins to walk to the tented arena to share a meal with family and friends. As the DJ softly plays the music to begin a Temptations medley, Samuel begins to announce the wedding party with a comedic twist. “It is my great pleasure to introduce to everyone the Altman-Montgomery wedding party. Beginning with the handsome and lovely children of Teddy and Addison’s best friends Arizona and Calliope Robbins-Torres we have Timothy Daniel Robbins-Torres escorting my wife and his sister Bailey Georgia O’Malley Robbins-Torres Ruiz. Then a brother and sister duo since birth and the bride’s namesakes, Theodore Carlos Robbins-Torres and Addison Barbara Robbins-Torres. Then at the ripe old age of sixteen this past March I proudly introduce Alexander Michael Robbins-Torres as he escorts him mommas Arizona and Calliope Robbins-Torres”. Then Samuel hands my wife the microphone as she says “If everyone would rise from their seats, my wife and our children would like to give Theodora and Addison their first wedding gift as we would like all of you to sing along” then the music begins to play as our children and me begin to sing “I’ve got sunshine on a cloudy day…when it’s cold outside I’ve go the month of May…I guess you’d say…what can make me feel this way…” as my wife begins to say “On behalf of our family, we would like to introduce the bride’s Theodora Montgomery Altman and Addison Montgomery Altman” “…my girl, my girl, my girl…talking about my girl” as now everyone is singing the Temptation classic as the bride’s are dancing their first dance together.
Then Calliope sings “I’ve got so much honey the bees envy me…I’ve got a sweeter song than the birds in the trees” then everyone sings “Hey hey hey Hey hey hey Ooh I guess you’d say…what can make me feel this way… my girl, my girl, my girl…talking about my girl, (my girl)” then I begin to sing “I don't need no money, fortune, or fame. I've got all the riches baby one woman can claim” then everyone sings “I guess you’d say…what can make me feel this way… my girl, my girl, my girl…talking about my girl, (my girl)” then everyone finishes the song with “I've got sunshine on a cloudy day…With my girl….I've even got the month of May…With my girl”. With everyone clapping and hooting and hollering and carrying on, my wife states over the microphone “Everyone please take you seats as I promise you there is more fun and surprises to come. But now dinner is served”.
During dinner our children devised a plan for some more comedic activity. As our children’s husband, wife, girlfriend, fiancé and girlfriend were all sitting at a table together in front of the wedding party table, my wife and I are about to be surprised by our children’s sense of humor. Whenever the wedding guests hit the sides of their glasses with their butter knife to make that clanging noise too loudly to ask for the bride and bride to kiss one another, our children and their better halves sprung into action as the husband Samuel, the wife Elizabeth, the girlfriend Matty, the fiancé Francesca and the girlfriend Katie all rise from their seats to kiss their better halves at the wedding table before anybody knows what is going on. With the crowd egging them onward, this action is performed several dozen times before I stand up to say “Enough already, we get the joke. No more clanging of the glasses until everyone finishes eating, alright” as a hush fills the air and Alexander, who cannot resist the temptation, winks at his mami as he clangs his glass as his mami finds his momma and plants a well deserved kiss on her lips before she can say anything and the crowd goes wild with the clapping of their hands and so much laughter.
The hot summer night continues after dinner with drinking, dancing, the cutting of the wedding cake, then more drinking, dancing, the tossing of the bouquets and garter belts and one final dance with my introduction of the brides as I tell a story…a story of Teddy and me and how are lives paralleled in comparison to one another and the special love we have for our mothers. I stand at the microphone as I begin to say “When I first met Teddy Altman, she came to Seattle Grace Mercy West at the request of our dear friend Owen Hunt. The two of them shared an unbelievable experience together as they were in a war together. Then after a few weeks and my pushy attitude, she became my friend and has been for over thirty years. And after all those years we have shared quite a lot together. The one thing that I thought about this whole time that my wife and I were helping Addison and Teddy with their wedding was the one thing Teddy and I shared as young girls growing up as children in military families.
You see, back in the day, when we were both on different bases around the world with our parents and siblings the one constant thing in both of our lives was listening to the radio. Everyday…all day…the radio would be playing. My mother as well as Teddy’s mother would turn on the radio and all the time whether we were in school or playing outside, we could here that radio playing as we could both hear our mothers singing to the radio. My mother and Teddy’s mother both loved Elvis Presley, they loved everything about him. So when an Elvis song came on the radio they both sang their hearts out. During on of our conversations about music, only because I was bragging about my wife’s awesome voice, we found out our mothers love of one and only Mr. Elvis Presley. Addison even said that her mother loved Elvis too so I decided to call on a friend of mine that has been crooning hearts all over the world for the last thirty years or so with his smooth and silky voice as he helps me with celebrating motherhood for all of us women tonight. So Barbara Robbins and Bizzy Montgomery will you both join my wife and I along with the two newest brides as our sons Timothy and Theodore help our special guest with their fancy guitar playing as ladies and gentlemen I give you Mr. Michael Buble singing an Elvis Presley favorite of our mamas as he sings “Love Me Tender”.
As Michael Buble begins to sing, my wife takes me in her arms as we begin to dance along with Teddy and Addison just as our children dance along with each other and other wedding guests. Samuel and Bailey, Alexander with Katie, Addie with Francesca, Bizzy with Susan, my mother with the captain as Elizabeth dances with Archer, Karev with Lexie and George with Connie all are dancing together when a new young intern walks up to Matilda and asks her to dance. She waves the gentleman off as she only has eyes for her Teddy as she smiles at him and he smiles back to her with the full force of the Robbins-Torres dimples on display for her…and only her…his Matty.
Then sometime after midnight, after the caterers have clean up, after the top of the cake has been placed in the downstairs freezer to be eaten on this day in one year from now as tradition would have it to celebrate Teddy and Addison’s first anniversary and the wedding guest begin to make their way home, I step up to the microphone one last time to say “Thank you. Thank you everyone for coming tonight. Thank you to my wife Calliope and our children for helping with the planning and the structure of this shindig as my best friend Teddy likes to call her own wedding. Thank you to Mother Nature for giving us such a beautiful day and an even more gorgeous night. So now everyone raise your glass one last time tonight to help me give a lasting toast to our brides. Teddy and Addison, we all love you dearly and are eternally grateful that you both have found that love that will be yours and yours alone that will last a lifetime. We hope you both have a wonderful time in Europe and thank you for being our friends”. Everyone salutes the happy couple by taking one last drink of champagne as they both dash into their home to change and make their way to the airport to begin their honeymoon.
Timothy and Elizabeth along with Bailey and Samuel are staying at Teddy and Addison’ house tonight until tomorrow as they all four venture back to Miami. Addie and Frankie along with Theodore and Matty are staying in our home tonight until tomorrow as the four of them venture back to Boston. I find my wife lying on the chaise lounge that sits beside our pool as I walk over to her and say “Baby, are you ready to turn in for the evening? I know that I am beat and am ready for bed”. My gorgeous wife looks up at me with those beautiful blue eyes and says “I am very tired too but would love it if you would lie here with me for a minute”. My wife scoots over to the side of the chaise lounge to give me room to lie next to her as I say “What about our dresses? We will wrinkle them if we lie down in them”. Arizona continues to pat down the empty side next to her as she is silently inviting me in. I work my dress until I am lying next to my wife as I wrap my arms around her and we just lie there together for the next few minutes…together.
The sound of our sons Theodore and Alexander clearing their throats awaken me as I am lying in the arms of my wife and we have fallen asleep on the chaise lounge next to our pool. Feeling my wife’s strong arms holding me close to her body confirms the safety and warmth that she has for me and me alone. Alexander is the first to speak as I look at him standing there with Katie by his side and Theodore and Matilda standing behind them. I can hear the soft snore in my ear of my wife Calliope as Alexander says to me “I am taking Katie home now momma. Teddy and Matty are going to ride with us so I do not have to ride home by myself, alright momma”? Then I hear Matilda say softly to Theodore “Your mami snores just like you, Teddy” as I give Theodore my famous Robbins-Torres death stare as he begins to stutter “I…I” as his younger brother saves him from any further embarrassment by saying to everyone “I know its weird isn’t it…Everyone says I snore like my momma too”. Then Alexander says to me again bringing me back to reality so I can stop thinking about our son Theodore and Matilda sleeping together as he says “Is that alright momma?” as I turn a bit in my wife’s arms and she begins to stir next to me as I say to our son “That would be fine, my boy” as I continue to stare at Theodore and Matilda as Theodore does not raise his head to look at me as the four of them walk away from me.
“Top up or down” I hear Alex asks his girlfriend as I am now awake as I watch our sons and their girlfriends walks away from my wife and I as I hear Katie say “Top down, please” as our son show his signs of chivalry as he removes his tuxedo jacket and places it over the shoulders and back of his girlfriend as I then see our son Theodore do the same with his tuxedo jacket as he places it over the shoulders of his girlfriend Matty. I then hear my wife sigh with a sarcastic tone as she shakes her head and begins to rise from the chaise lounge. “Is there something wrong, baby” I ask my wife as she continues to just shake her head. “They’re having sex, Calliope. They are sleeping together and having sex” as my wife begins to scream the last part of her statement as she is now standing trying to straighten her dress as she begins to cry and scream “And now my dress is ruined with so many wrinkles from me lying down on it”. I begin to laugh a bit but then my wife glares at me and I stop laughing instantly as I say to her “What has got you so upset, baby? We kind of assumed that Theodore and Matty…Matilda are together. And what makes you think they are sleeping together”? Arizona turns to face me with tears still sliding down her cheeks as I wipe them away with my thumbs as I hold my wife’s face in my hands as she says “Matilda made the comment just a moment ago that Theodore snores like you. That’s how I know that they are sleeping together, Calliope”. I wrap my wife up in my arms as I say to her “Let’s go to bed”.
My wife and I enter our home I can see that she is still upset with the fact of how she found out our son is sleeping with his girlfriend. “I am just going to check on Addie and Frankie and then I will be with you in a minute” as my wife walks silently to our bedroom and I make my way upstairs. The door to our daughter’s bedroom is ajar as I open the door a little further and see that Addie is being spooned by Frankie as they both are snoring together so sweetly as I close the door and make my way to our bedroom and to my wife.
On my way to our bedroom Theodore, Matty and Alex return from taking Katie home. I say goodnight to them as Theodore grabs a hold of my arm to stop me as we watch Matty and Alex ascend the stairs to their respective bedrooms. Theodore says to me “I am sorry about tonight. I have been meaning to tell you both about Matty and me all weekend but things were crazy with the wedding and I just never found the right moment. I am truly sorry about the way momma found out and I will apologize to her tomorrow before we leave for Boston”. I hold my son’s face in my hands and say “Do you love her…truly love her” as Theodore looks into my eyes and says “Yes mami, I do love her with all my heart”. I smile at my son as I gently rub his cheeks with my thumb and say “Then that is enough for me. But you do need to talk with your momma and tell her just what you told me tonight…just that…exactly that”. I kiss my son goodnight as I tell him “Now get yourself to bed because all of your butts better be up in the morning when I make all of you a hearty breakfast before you head back to Boston”. Theodore laughs and smiles at me as he says respectively “Yes ma’am, mami. See you in a few hours” as he kisses me and dashes up the stairs to his bedroom.
I open the door to our bedroom as I see my wife sitting on the edge of the bed as I see her brain is still working overtime about the fact that Theodore and Matty are sleeping together. I say to her softly “Hey baby” as I move to stand in front of her as I hold out my hands to her so I may lift her upwards onto her feet. I kiss her tenderly as I envelope her in my arms kissing her neck and then whisper in her ear “Turn around baby” as she does what I instruct her to do. Arizona balances herself on the foot of our bed as I begin to kiss her neck and down her spine as she does not make a sound as I slide the zipper of her dress down and remove it from her body. As she steps out of the dress I can see that she has already removed her shoes as I turn to hang her dress on the back of our bedroom door and then I feel her fingertips on my back as she unzips my dress. I step our of my dress as it has gathered on the floor and place it on the hanger and put it next to Arizona’s on the back of the door. Then I turn to see my wife has sat back down on the end of the bed with the unhappiest face I have ever seen. I kneel before my wife as I spread her legs to allow me access to be closer to her as I say “Baby, I know you are upset about Theodore and Matilda but can we just focus on us tonight and then we will deal with them tomorrow”?
I am taken out of my fogged mindset of worrying about our son Theodore and his girlfriend Matilda as I hear my wife’s plea. I look down at the beautiful face of my wife as she is kneeling before me asking me a question. I notice that we have removed each other’s dresses and are facing each other in just our undergarments as I say “What” to my gorgeous wife. Then Calliope…my Calliope begins to slide her hands up the outer part of my thighs as her hands graze across my butt as it settles there for a minute and then they come to rest on the small of my back as she says to me in a whisper “Baby, ever since I saw you in that beautiful dress over eight hours ago, I have done nothing but yearn for the moment that we were to be alone so I could remove this gorgeous dress from your body and ravish you with all of the love I have for you. I have thought about nothing else but making mad passionate love to you all day. And now that we are alone I feel that you are a million miles away. I want to make love to my wife tonight but if you do not feel like making love to me then that will be alright and we can just climb into this bed and hold each other while we both fall asleep”.
Smiling, with my dimples all aglow, as I look down to my wife’s face brushing back the stray hairs that have fallen by the wayside onto her face as I whisper to her “I can think of nothing better than having my miraculously stunning wife make mad passionate love to me right here and right now” as I am just able to finish my statement before my wife lunges up to my face as she places a very sensual kiss on my lips as she leans me back onto our bed. I am so entranced by what my wife is doing to me with her tongue in my mouth that I do not even feel her unleash my breasts from their confinement as she tosses my strapless bra across the room. When the kiss breaks for some much needed air on both our parts, I remove my wife’s bra as I release her boobs from their imprisonment as my Calliope leans back down over me to kiss me again. For the next several hours my wife and I make mad, passionate love to one another as we bring each other to more than a few orgasms as we loose count. We fall asleep in each others arms like we always do until the next morning when I find a note attached to Calliope’s pillow. The note reads “If my intuition is correct you have found that I am not behind you holding you close as you are now hugging my pillow right now smelling my scent as you are finding this note. To my wife and the love of my life Arizona, from that first kiss we shared all those years ago until today, I love you and have been in love with you from the beginning. Thank you for last night as you have shown me many nights before exactly how much you love me. I will never get the feeling out of my system of how you feel against my body as I make mad passionate love to you as I bring you to an orgasm as I will never get that same feeling out of my system as you and you alone bring me to countless orgasms every time you make love to me. I know that I do not say “I love you” enough but I want you to now right here and right now that I will love you forever Arizona Michelle Robbins-Torres and I will spend the rest of my life telling you and happily showing you everyday…everyday. I love you”.
The note ends with “Now that I have made you shed a tear or two…get your happy ass out of bed and help me feed these children of ours before they have to leave our home and make their way back to theirs. Besides, you still have to talk to Theodore before he leaves for Boston. I love you, Arizona”. I wipe the tears from my eyes as my Calliope does make me cry as I wash up and get dressed before I make my way out to my family. I stand in the doorway of our bedroom for a moment as I take in the bustling of our children as well as my wife and with a little of Alex Karev thrown in as well as everyone is talking at the same time. My wife notices me standing there as she makes her way to me with a hot cup of coffee in her hand as she reaches me she says softly so the rest of the family does not hear her and with a smirk on her face as she moves her body in front of mine to shield our children’s view “Hey baby, did you sleep well”? I take the cup of coffee out of her hand with my right hand as my left hand reaches for the back of her neck to pull her face down to me so I may place a very sexy kiss on my wife’s lips that turns very sexual as her tongue slides along my lips and finds its way onto my very hungry mouth. Then when the kiss breaks and my wife begins to mumble in my ear as she says “Baby…do you know…do you know what you do to me” as I now smile with a smirk on my face as I start to continue with kissing my wife but she pulls away to say “Arizona, you need to eat something” as I say “That is what I am about to do with you” as my wife says “No” with a smile on her face as she begins to say again “No, I mean food and then you have to talk to Theodore. So let’s eat some food and you talk to our son and when everyone leaves our home then we will continue this, I promise you…we will so continue this” as Calliope kisses me again and we move to the kitchen so I may gather up some food to eat for some energy for later today with my wife after everyone leaves our home.
