So. Lost is ending today. End of an era, end of a journey, etc. I can go on and on about what that personal journey's been for me, and maybe I will, later, but I will say this: my personal journey wouldn't have been nearly as awesome if it weren't for the friends that I made and made watch while the show was on the air. It's been my pleasure. I miss having you in the Bar, but still look forward to seeing your post about Lost and about your life, and I am glad to have been of service.

I think that I wouldn't have been as into Lost without the Internet. More than any other show, its success comes from a large and vocal and often supportive set of communities that post and argue and read and write and assemble massive wikis and race to debate every little nuance. In that way, Lost has changed TV, even if no one has come close to copying its formula for more than a season at most.

PS: Just watched the pilot all over. I think I am hooked all over again, but you knew that. Also picked up that Jack had some flying lessons. Hm. Is it possible that a throwaway line from the first hour will matter tonight?
