I think that I wouldn't have been as into Lost without the Internet. More than any other show, its success comes from a large and vocal and often supportive set of communities that post and argue and read and write and assemble massive wikis and race to debate every little nuance. In that way, Lost has changed TV, even if no one has come close to copying its formula for more than a season at most.
PS: Just watched the pilot all over. I think I am hooked all over again, but you knew that. Also picked up that Jack had some flying lessons. Hm. Is it possible that a throwaway line from the first hour will matter tonight?
