I will start this post with the scariest thing ever......
So I always take Kaylee (that is the dog's new name) for a walk down by the park in Dover. So i was just walking her down there, and we were on our way back up the hill to the apartment. There is a guardrail on the left hand side, and she always tries to climb under it. I always say no, and she stops trying. So she was sticking her nose under the guardrail, and I said no, but she seemed to smell something really interesting. I look over, and she is NOSE TO NOSE WITH A SKUNK. I panicked, and ran up the hill, dragging her behind me. Luckily the skunk ran in the other direction, and she didn't have the opportunity to bark at it, so it didn't spray us. I'm still out of breath from the whole thing.
Otherwise, she is the best dog ever. Seriously. She's been so easy to train, and she loves to just hang out, and sleep. When i bring her to work, she sits on my lap in the van. Her and Wiley are adjusting to eachother. We've had her for two weeks now. When we got her she was very skiddish, and didn't really know what toys were, or how to wag her tail, and she cowered at the sight of a man, or at the sound of the word no. We definitely think she was abused. But now she's playing with her toys, learning to play with a ball (she bats it around like a cat), and wagging her tail constanting. She knows how to sit, shake paws, and is still working on lay down, and stay. She seems to be getting really attached to me, because she wimpers whenever i leave the house without her. And she loves people. At this point she'll walk up to almost anyone, and hardly anyone scares her. The other day I took her to the dog park, and she had tons of fun. She had a couple big dogs beating on her, but then a few little dogs showed up that she could beat on. It's so cute, when she sees a dog, and wants to play with it, she paws at it, like she's trying to shake. Anyway, here are a couple more pictures for your viewing pleasure.
