Never thought that would happen to me, but it did
After dinner a paniced neighbor banged on our door and yelled "The basement's on fire, get out!".
You can check out facebook for the pictures. Our apartment and our stuff is ok, but we're not allowed to stay there. Aparently insulation in the basement caught on fire, and the fire spread through the walls into the second floor. The really scary part is no smoke alarms went off, and there were no fire extinguishers. I guess our neighbors, whose walls are ripped apart, didn't even have smoke detectors. I feel bad for our landlord, he just bought the place in June.
