Still alive, so no worry needed
It's really cold today, disgustingly cold, especially in comparison with yesterday's beautiful weather. Yesterday I was on the lamb, running from the dreaded family feud. Luckily I escaped and it was my crazy mother who was left to deal with the wrath of countless numbers of elderly relatives (she brought this upon herself).
I am having a hard time with many things, so yesterday despite my anxiety over who was going to be at the front desk and how I was going to be received, I went to Pepsi to see Toni and have one of our great "wow your family is so fucked up!" chats. I was dismayed that Lisa was in Germany and the whole crowd seemed rather dead, but the talk with Toni was immensely soothing/comforting...I could feel my face turning redder and redder the more anxious I became, but once we established that it was like old times, she hooked me up with a fine 24 oz Aquafina, and I sat in the chair, we were good to go. :)
I had some nice chats with Alyce, Shelly, and Helene as well, and the general consensus seemed to be that they were sad I was no longer with them. After promising to return, I had to bid them adieu.
Since I was in the area, I meandered over to New Paltz and spent a good hour breathing in those good ol' negative ions and absorbing sunshine, walking down Main St., chatting with friendly employees, seeing pro gay marriage memorabilia, generally having a positive time. I was having a very dificult time for a few days, feeling more depressed than I think I've ever felt, really understanding what depression can mean for some people on a daily basis...trying to establish more structure, to plan things/activities to get me, Theresa, Rodgie, and the kids out of bed, to get fresh air, you get the picture. I can honestly say I feel much better today than I did on Monday. I feel more accomplished, more level headed, more like myself.
I have left some messages, done some emailing, trying to get back on track with this school thing...I'm shooting for a return to Boston on Tuesday or Wednesday of next week to meet with people and discuss my options. I'm feeling really good about Pepsi so it looks like no matter what I decide to do about school, I'll be returning there for the summer, coming back to JP for the fall, hopefully with Theresa and Kailey in tow.
In other news about other species, the Rodgmeister seems to be doing really well these days...he's calmer when he gets to run around and whenever I fall asleep I always find him curled up at my feet when I wake up...it's rather cute :) We are anticipating a great success rate during his next attendance at school.
I guess that's about it...just wanted to confirm that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth...I know I've made myself rather unavailable, but sometimes that's just what you have to do, and the people who really love you will be there, no matter what.
In the event that something dreadful happens and I become scarce however, here is a fairly concise rundown of future events (mostly for my benefit to feel more structured/organized, may be useful to you as well) :
Sat. 3/13- shopping with Michelle, Theresa/Kailey OM, Mal?
Sun. 3/14- visiting with Aaron, shopping for Kailey- Disney
Mon. 3/15- doctor's appt. with Theresa, Mom's departure for Texas?
Tues. 3/16- anticipated arrival in Boston
Wed. 3/17- Kailey's departure for Disney?
Thurs. 3/18- possible meeting with advisor bitch (must get back to Toni post meeting, whenever it takes place)
Friday 3/19- departure for Matamoras
Tues. 3/23- continuance of previous two court hearings involving restraining order against verbally abusive, constantly crazy avoider of authorities Daddy Cullin vs. La and Mal
Wed. 3/24- depending on outcomes of all previous appointments, possible departure for Boston...may be postponed until Thurs 3/25 or Fri 3/26 in the event that Miss Blackman's vehicle is ready for retrieval
Possible weekend in question? April 9-11: Easter Weekend...if tickets are still available for Ben/Death Cab, demand is still high, might be spent in Boston, otherwise, top secret Eastery plans will go on in Matamoras...anyone interested may be able to attend!
