I'm so happy. Tonight, my hope in my country has been restored, and I feel so ecstatic, so amazed and so proud. I believe that things can change for the better, and I desperately hope that they will.
Not everyone is happy about Obama being elected, I know. But please give him a chance, even if you didn't vote for him, for what ever reason. Please try to put your faith in him, if you can. With our support, maybe we can put this country back on it's feet. It's worth a try, isn't it?
Jordan, Dave and I stayed up and watched the election coverage, and the speeches that took place afterward.
John McCain conceded with dignity and grace, and I have great respect for him. I never disliked him, honestly, just disagreed with his stance on different issues. And disapproved (greatly) of his choice for a running mate.
Barack Obama was practically shining. His speech was moving. I was so unbelievably happy for him. For all of us.
Tonight was historic, and as a voter, I got to be a part of it.
In January, for the first time in my life I will be proud to call the man in office my President.
