Ace Attorney Panel planning stages (ie: in which I think about stuff too early.)
Okay, guys. If I can borrow a laptop and projector, here's a possible line up of mini-events for the Panel:
- AA Mini Costume Contest
- Ace Attorney Trivia Pop Quiz Show!
- Ace Attorney Investigations Mini-Preview/Q&A with Miles Edgeworth (I'd need a cosplayer for this)
- Whose Court is It Anyway?! (Improv Trial)
- Raffle (This depends on how much money I end up having for this/What Kind of Prizes I can wrangle together.)
- Possible Professor Layton Time Killing event
The only one that really depends on the laptop/projector would be the AAI preview and I'd still have to ask people to use their videos. Also, depending on how big a room we get for this panel, I might have to come up with a different mini-event.
The raffle will probably go on throughout the panel, with one or two drawings before/after each mini-event.
Still trying to work out how "Whose Court is It Anyway?!" would work.
I'm going to try to accrue little AA-related items (Buttons, Fanart Cards, miscellaneous fan merchandise) to use as prizes, and I should be able to get my hands on a copy of the Edgeworth manga.
Do you guys want to see a return of the Objection Contest? Since I'm also doing a quiz show, I'll have to cut down the number of participants (I believe it was 10 last year, I'll probably cut it down to 5 or 7)
Also, while I have been green-lighted for the panel, I don't know how much time I'm going to be allowed for this panel. Last year's Mock Trial fell an hour short because of my own poor planning, so I'll probably request an hour or an hour and a half.
If you Ace Attorney Fans have any suggestions, lay 'em on me!
I'm actually really nervous about attempting another panel this year. I mean, last year's went so badly, that people were walking out in the middle! But I'm doing a completely different kind of panel and attendance will be lower because of the odd date (over New Year's).
