still watching
Himitsu no Hanazono (ep 7)
Still a great show with very well characterized people and funny and touching moments. I still like the funny 2nd oldest brother the best. I hope the old boss doesn't end up with a brother, that would be weird.
Hana Yori Dango 2 (ep 8)
A sort of guilty pleasure b/c I know I'm too old to watch this. Still entertaining and well polished with fancy clothes.
sort of picked up again
Hanakimi (ep 14) - eternal guilty pleasure, I suppose. I watch it here and there.
If you are looking for eye candy, check out episodes 12 and 14. Ep. 14 is the one where they have the initial photo shoot. And a shirtless tattoo scene. The boys look good, but what in the world were they thinking with RueXi's ghastly cowgirl outfit? She looks so much nicer in the random ending behind the scene shots than she does in the show itself.
finished
Return of the Condor Heroes 2006 (twdrama / cdrama, 40 ep long)
Remained a fun martial arts series all the way through the end, especially once you got over the weird voice dubbing (sounded like all the actors recorded their parts again later in the studio, and it shows.) Thumbs up if you've got the time to waste on 40 episodes. Mua ha ha. It is also currently showing on one of the asian tv channels in the bay area.
started and stopped watching
The Rose (twdrama)
Ella actually fits the main role in this because she plays a chubby little ugly misfit in a family of beoootiful people. Not all that great, but worth watching a bit for Joe Cheng's hilarious portrayal as the bitchy 2nd brother with curly long locks. Though I suspect a real gay guy wouldn't be caught dead in such a cheap looking ruffly robe. I stopped watching when I surfed a bit and found out she ended up *spoiler* with the wooden 1st brother. Seriously,it was like they painted a stick into a very handsome man and stuck it in the show.
stopped watching
Love Contract (twdrama)
Not sure where I stopped, but it got boring. I also found a website that told me the ending, and that was enough for me (*spoiler* of course she reveals her scar and then of course there is a misunderstanding and of course he apologizes in very public scene and of course she misses it and falls into a coma. and then they get married, or something.)
waiting for
Summer x summer (twdrama)
I think it comes out in mid-March. A new Joe Cheng drama. He cracks me up so I'm going to try it out. He laughs like a hyena.
