i'm sick again. sigh.
birthday went well. the day before was pretty awful. i didn't expect to feel weird about getting older, but i have been. doesn't help that my body is definitely making noise about it. so may 21st i was pretty gloomy. ended up getting pulled over for the first time. didn't have my license on me, had expired insurance... whoops! luckily my headlights were both behaving. i have to whack them sometimes to go on. well i don't have to pay a ticket, just had to send in a current insurance card which i managed after calling dad. he was as confused as i was that the card i had in the car was only valid for 9 days or something ridiculous like that.
beester was great though. pirates far out numbered ninjas. sean claimed to be a ninja disguised as a pirate. i don't know if we decided dray was a ninja or just the one and only viking sans outfit. kirk of course is a ninja. jon doesn't need to dress up to proclaim ninja status. he always does that stealthy appearing/disappearing act; anyone on the couches knows what i mean. everyone else be pirates, ar! peter especially made my night. not only was his costume particularily stunning, but he made himself a map to the bowling alley that looked like a treasure map, and then rode his bicycle in full garb. i'm proud to possess the map now.
it makes me happy that we can get together and be silly and wear costumes still. i hope my friends would want to dress as pirates or ninjas when i turn 40 too.
so i don't want to make this entry too long... although i have a lot i could write about for once. went to boston with people, had a blast! moving fiascos and fun... house stuff, cat pee... (prolly best to skip that), rosy's wedding, gary's shower..., memorial day..., estabrooke nonsense with pk, jpj, etc.
as far as today goes: i went to breakfast with mom and dan this morning. i spent the night at deodonne's apt since we went to coa yesterday to see her graduate. i tracked down eliana too. apparently dweezle was hiding in the library. i don't blame him, it was crowded and rainy. they had a steel pan band playing. brought back lots of high school memories... met ranjan's sister briefly. i guess she flew in from nepal for a little visit. it was so noisy though i didn't get to talk to her much. mom, dan, and i went to ichiban for dinner. i think the rest of the dustins stayed in bar harbor. bumped into jon while we were there. nice coincidence since my mom had asked me all about the boston trip. the best thing about having them come up for the weekend is getting to talk mom's ear off. i know she likes it too. she catches up on all my friends and all the goings on... :)
i am finding it amusing that it flooded in nh for rosy's wedding and now it is raining this weekend of deo's graduation.
