My brain is just...^%$^$%&
01) Received my Praxis scores today. I passed! Hells yeah, I passed! I normally don't worry too much about tests, but this one was not what I expected from the coursework or practice tests, so I was literally freaking out about it. But my summer coursework all went well (Dean's List) and now that I have my test score, I can get the ESL endorsement added to my license.
02) I found out about a long-term subbing opportunity from, well, now until September. I emailed indicating interest today, and within 20 minutes they called offering me the position. I'll be subbing for the ESL teacher at an elementary school about 10 minutes away from my apartment. Excited. :D For one, I'd rather do a long-term position when I can get it rather than subbing here one day and there the next. Two, this gets me in good with the ESL director after a fashion. I met her over the summer, and it was her admin. assistant who emailed me about the position initially. They haven't officially hired ESL teachers yet for the year, so. Yeah! I have hopes. Who knows if they'll be met?! But I still have them. In preparation for doing this (subbing) on a more regular basis, I've been working with the night audit job to cut back on my hours. I texted my supervisor to let her know I needed off early tonight if at all possible, and we arranged it so that I can leave around 5AM or so. I'll have time to come home, take a short nap, freak out and squee, before going into my first day at the school. :P
03) While the above is great, ye gods man I am going to be so flippin' tired for the rest of the month! If I'm not at one job, I'll be at the other. But if I could make it through the insanity that was June this year, I can do anything.
04) This cuts into my OGN viewing. -_- I'm going to have to, like, buy the freaking season pass so I can see VODs in my free time. What a time to get hooked on a specific flavor of esport goodness. :|
