have you tried kijiji, craigslist, or usedcalgary.com? They are all great resources, and you can meet the person somewhere public like a coffee shop first. Also, fast forward does $5 ads, and calgaryjobs.net you can post for free!

where are you in calgary? i have a cousin who's 15 that lives in arbour lake area. she's very responsible. i think she has the babysitting course but i'm not positive, i'll ask for you. she's christian and not into any kind of trouble (not a phone chatter/computer chatter etc when she's got things to be done) and always great with games/sports/crafts etc. let me know if it's your area and i'll find out if she's got CPR/first aide etc.
