Just roll with the punches

Well, so far everything seems to be going as God has planned it...I only say that because I believe that one of the plans God has for us is to succeed. I joined a 12 step group about 4 years ago after going off the beaten track a few times. Not the one for alcohol recovery, although now, I probably could use that group : )LOL! But for friends and ( Read more... )

LOL! I am here BB ;)
Had a busy day yesterday, and it's shaping up to be a busy weekend again, but I wanted to touch on a couple of things:

Have you read any Wayne Dyer? I am very into the letting go part - letting go of attachments, fears, etc. Letting go of the illusion of control and just letting it happen. How about the Celestine Prophecies? You read that? That talks about coincidence in a way that rings with me.

As far as ethics, I think it comes down to accountability. When a person stands up and remains accountable for their actions - good and bad - it makes you think twice before you act. People have stopped speaking because they don't feel they are heard. And they just don't are. It's like that poem

First they came for the Jews
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for the Communists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a Communist.
Then they came for the trade unionists
and I did not speak out
because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for me
and there was no one left
to speak out for me.

Pastor Martin Niemöller

Where no one is going to speak out for anyone else. And if they do - you get sued. People getting offended burns me up - these people that claim to be offended by certain words or displays or what the fuck ever need to take a chill and let it go. They are holding in some nasty stuff and taking it out on people that say Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays. Tell me, is your holiday season ruined if someone tells you Happy Kwankaa instead? no and it's retarded to find offense there. Why don't you get offended at what's going on around you - the drugs, the war, all the sham scenes acted out for the public in the interest of the all mighty dollar.

bah! now you got me started ;)

I have read the Celstine Prophesies...I read that book back in the 90's when my mind and imagination were running rampid...Don't worry about those people who can't seem to think outside of the box...Just radiate and lead by example...I think some people get offended and act out about being offended because they are not heard at home, or at the office or even at church. They too could be leading by example though and our communication signals may be crossed. All we can do is stand up for what we believe in and if something they do offends us, well then we should throw it back into their face.
