Why do you want to stay for more than a little bit? Cherrygrove isn't really that interesting of a place to stay.

Just so that I have a sort of home base, kind of, thing, to stay at. I was noticing that there's a lot of things here, though, that are interesting, to me, at least, so, I wouldn't mind if here is the place where that, uhh, home base, thing, that I mentioned is.

Oh. Well, I would have thought you'd want the city with the breeding center or something, but okay.

You can stay at the inns pretty much indefinitely, if you have the money for it. I think there's hives you can rent, too, but I never really checked it out.

Oh, is there a place that has one of those things? The breeding center that you mentioned, I mean. That sounds like, uhh, it would be even more convenient.

I did hear a little about the, uhh, inns, and it turns out that I could maybe do that, since I have this Johto money I can use, and also maybe I could get a job. It sounds a little bit complicated, but not as complicated as, uhh, some things could be, I guess.

Yeah, there is one! I think it's here in Goldenrod City. There's lots of shops and things here, too, so there's a lot more to do.

Getting a job is a good idea. I had one at the Pokemon Center for a while, before I couldn't really work any more because I couldn't see what I was doing.

So then, maybe I should, probably, wait to find a proper hive, uhh, for staying, until I get over to that area, wherever it is.

[ ... long awkward pause, oh no ]

Uh oh, do you think that, it's possible that, they won't want me to work anywhere, because, uhh, if my condition...?

Probably. At least wait until you've seen more of the world first.

[pause. let him think about that for a moment...]

I don't think they'll mind. I mean, I guess there might be some jobs you can't do, but there's probably a lot you can. I know some people get jobs at the inn and they just have to sit there at the desk all day.

Well, sitting, that's a thing that I'm kind of good at, relatively...

But still, uhh, that's good news, better than not being able to do anything at all, at least.

I know! You have a lot of experience with it. [Sollux is such a good friend, isn't he? B)]

Hehe, you're still better off than me, I think. Most of the jobs don't really need you to do anything you'd need to walk for, like climbing or standing up or whatever, so you're probably fine. But it's kind of hard when you can't see what you're doing.

I suppose that's, uhh, mostly true, but I don't know, Terezi always seems like she gets along okay, usually, from what I've seen.

Well, yeah, she does. But I don't have a crazy dragon lusus teaching me how to smell colors. And she can't really teach me long range, anyway, and she said she can't do it as well any more either.

She can't? So I guess it's kind of like, uhh, my communing thing.

I guess so. At least you guys got to keep your powers sort of, I never had my psionics and it sucks.

That's pretty much not fair, I wonder what, uhh, decides those things about us when we get here, to this place.

Yeah, I Don't know. It sucks, though. I mean, I was happy the first time to lose the annoying voices, but being able to fly would be really, really helpful.

Well, maybe it could still happen, uhh, somehow. The flying thing that you said, I mean. Maybe this place has things like, you know, magic and stuff, too.
