I love this. I love Earth AUs where they meet up SO much. This one is just perfect. Such a delightful mix of the random and the details that make everything inevitable. So beautiful. Great work, m'dear. *goes back to reread*

I love Earth AUs where they meet up SO much.

Oh, I know. I'm such a sucker for it. 'Boy, there's something so familiar about you!'

And travel can feel so serendipitous sometimes, meeting strangers and yet connecting strongly. Emotions are so heightened, so it felt perfect for the idea.

I completely agree about the travel angle. Oh, now I want to write these two falling in love all over the place. In Sevilla and Taos and Los Angeles and Goa. This story reminds me why I fell in love with these two. Thanks for that. Please never stop writing :D

I've never been to Toledo, Spain, but between the Elvis Costello song and the pictures, it's just a place I can see yet another incarnation of A/R meeting up there.

Please never stop writing :D

No worries! I don't seem to be able to stop!

This is beautiful. And I can tell you've backpacked - it was all strikingly familiar to my own adventures once a upon a yesteryear.

I was completely caught off guard when he called her Laura and then it all just clicked and I realized that their had been hints along the way and it was really the only way it could work (because if two strangers just happened to meet each other twice like this without it being due to cosmic BSG fate, it would just be ridiculous!).

Brilliantly done.
Off to reread!

Oh, I was afraid the "Laura" line would be too obvious, so I'm glad it gave you that 'ah-hah' moment!

I was just glad these girls gave me the chance to revisit some fond memories. (No mysterious pilots, though, dangit.)

You know, a sign of maturity is the ability to handle denial. I'm sure you focused on your studies all day, and will calmly return home to read, right? :D

This is so beautiful. I'm not sure where to start. I've read a lot of 'this has happened before' fics with Laura and Bill and they don't usually impress me. But I think the slow build up and tiny glimpses of Bill and Laura really made this one work ( ... )

I was serious when I thought it might be too European movie for you! Not enough meat and potatoes!

But I think the slow build up and tiny glimpses of Bill and Laura really made this one work.

I didn't think I had enough Bill and Laura in there, but perhaps that worked to the story's advantage?

I love Bill/Adam's quotes. And on a completely shallow level, his clothes. Well, maybe not the scarf, but you know, that's just me.

You have a scarf issue too? Not just teeth? One thing I love about Europe is how they can all wear scarves so well. Very sexy look, trust me.

I love their names.

I thought for sure someone's done that before in an AU. But you read more than me!

I love when Rose/Laura goes and buys condoms. Hee. Hand size. Hee.

Oh please. Like you haven't thought it.

(It took me a while to work out why she first thought he had to leave. *snort*)

I wondered if I should give more detail there. It's a very American thing!

So lovely.

I'm imagining the Queen's voice saying this...

Even though they've only ( ... )
